Presidential Primary: Delegate Count

Pursuant to California Elections Code sections 6323, 6543, and 6743, the Secretary of State shall certify to the county elections officials the number of delegates to be elected at the presidential primary election for the American Independent, Libertarian, Peace and Freedom, and Republican parties. Attached is the certificate of number of delegates to be elected at the June 7, 2016, Presidential Primary Election. Pursuant to California Elections Code section 6020, the Chairperson of the Democratic State Central Committee shall notify the Secretary of State as to the number of delegates and alternates to represent the state in the next national convention of the Democratic Party. A copy of the Democratic Party notification is attached. Following the presidential primary election, the number of Green Party delegates will be selected by the national political party with which the Green Party is affiliated. (California Election Code section 6863.)
