FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bangor, Maine, October 17th, 2016---- Local Green Party activists announce the homecoming of one of their favorite Maine Green Independent Party candidates. Pat LaMarche will be in Maine for a visit the end of the month and is helping host a fundraiser for the Jill Stein/Ajamu Baraka presidential campaign. On Tuesday October 25th from 4-7pm at the Bangor Grange Hall, 1192 Ohio Street, Bangor Maine, Pat and other Green activists will host a Lasagne Potluck and Fundraiser. LaMarche says: "someone just asked me why neophyte Jill Stein is qualified to be President of the U.S. (so much for believing it should be 'one of us' like the... propaganda tells us... go monarchy) anyway, I answered this: 'honestly ... any decent human being is better suited to be President than these....shell-game, evil masterminds that rise to the top of the corporate political parties. So yeah, decent human being is a big improvement.'" The public is invited to come out to the Grange and meet this firebrand political activist who spends her life working for the underdog. LaMarche has always championed the impoverished, the homeless, the overlooked and forgotten. Many may remember that she used the bully pulpit of her Vice Presidential run to bring attention to the plight of the homeless across this country. There will be a silent auction of political memorabilia including several copies of the book LaMarche wrote about her trip across the US staying in homeless shelters, "Left Out in America." Other features of the evening will be a lasagne bake-off and lots of stimulating political dialogue. Donations will be accepted at the door. People attending who wish to participate in the lasagne bake-off should bring a pan of their best lasagne with them to enter the contest. The winner will be decided by those in attendance.
