The Loco and Traffic Running Staff while working trains find dead bodies of human beingsor animalson the tracks. On some occasions,the living beings suddenlyappearon the railwaytrack and collide with the train engine. 2. The deadhumanor animalbody/partsof the deadbodiesare requiredto be removedby the GRPpersonnelasper instructionscontainedin GRP Manual/ChapterVIII, 1989to avoid detention to trains. 3. NFIR is constrainedto bring to the notice of the Railway Board that the GRP Personnel escortingthe passengercarrying trains or those availableat the premisesof railway stationare reluctantto perform the jobs of removingthe dead/perished human/animalbody lying on the railway tracks.The job perforceis performedby the Loco Pilots/AlPs/Guardon the track with the aim of running services without detention. The running staff are agitated over the reluctance/inaction of GRP Personnelin thesesituations. NFIR, therefore, requeststhe Railway Board to kindly intervene and issue suitable instructionsin order to ensurethat GRP Personneltake care of human/animalbodies found hit/lying on tracks.A copy of instructionsissuedmay be endorsedto NFIR.
