CVSA’S​ ​INTERNATIONAL​ ​ROADCHECK​ ​SET​ ​FOR​ ​JUNE​ ​6-8 This​ ​year​ ​marks​ ​the​ ​30th​ ​year​ ​of​ ​International​ ​Roadcheck​.​ ​The​ ​Roadcheck​ ​is​ ​a​ ​3​ ​day​ ​event  meant​ ​to​ ​promote​ ​safety​ ​among​ ​truckers​ ​that​ ​will​ ​run​ ​from​ ​June​ ​6-8.​ ​During​ ​that​ ​time,​ ​an  average​ ​of​ ​15​ ​commercial​ ​motor​ ​vehicles​ ​will​ ​be​ ​inspected​ ​every​ ​minute​ ​across​ ​the​ ​country.​ ​It’s  a​ ​valuable​ ​opportunity​ ​for​ ​CVSA-certified​ ​inspectors​ ​to​ ​promote​ ​compliance,​ ​enforcement​ ​and  education​ ​for​ ​motor​ ​carrier,​ ​vehicle​ ​and​ ​driver​ ​safety.​ ​It’s​ ​also​ ​a​ ​great​ ​opportunity​ ​for​ ​us​ ​to  talk​ ​to​ ​our​ ​drivers​ ​(and​ ​others)​ ​about​ ​the​ ​importance​ ​of​ ​safety.​ ​Read​ ​on​ ​to​ ​learn​ ​a​ ​bit​ ​more  about​ ​the​ ​Roadcheck​ ​and​ ​Liquid​ ​Trucking’s​ ​commitment​ ​to​ ​safety.   

     This​ ​year,​ ​inspectors​ ​will​ ​be​ ​placing​ ​an​ ​emphasis​ ​on​ ​cargo​ ​securement​.​ ​Since​ ​the​ ​Roadcheck  began​ ​in​ ​1988,​ ​inspectors​ ​have​ ​inspected​ ​over​ ​1.4​ ​million​ ​vehicles.​ ​Last​ ​year,​ ​inspectors​ ​placed  21.5%​ ​of​ ​trucks​ ​inspected​ ​(that’s​ ​9,080)​ ​out​ ​of​ ​service.​ ​Brakes​ ​and​ ​hours​ ​were​ ​the​ ​top  out-of-service​ ​violations.​ ​Those​ ​are​ ​some​ ​big​ ​numbers!​ ​Hopefully​ ​that​ ​will​ ​serve​ ​as​ ​a​ ​reminder  to​ ​all​ ​drivers​ ​that​ ​road​ ​safety​ ​encompasses​ ​many​ ​aspects​ ​and​ ​that​ ​they​ ​need​ ​to​ ​remain  vigilant​ ​at​ ​every​ ​step​ ​of​ ​the​ ​way.​ ​This​ ​year,​ ​drivers​ ​should​ ​expect​ ​to​ ​have​ ​the​ ​37​ ​step​ ​North  American​ ​Standard​ ​Level​ ​I​ ​Inspection​​ ​performed​ ​on​ ​their​ ​truck.     Liquid​ ​Trucking’s​ ​commitment​ ​to​ ​safety​ ​is​ ​second​ ​to​ ​none.​ ​We​ ​are​ ​proud​ ​of​ ​the​ ​way​ ​we​ ​train  our​ ​drivers​ ​and​ ​we​ ​are​ ​especially​ ​proud​ ​of​ ​the​ ​way​ ​they​ ​conduct​ ​themselves​ ​on​ ​the​ ​road.​ ​For  us,​ ​taking​ ​care​ ​of​ ​our​ ​equipment​ ​is​ ​the​ ​foundation​ ​of​ ​successful​ ​work.​ ​Our​ ​drivers​ ​know​ ​that  when​ ​they​ ​take​ ​are​ ​en​ ​route​ ​to​ ​deliver​ ​a​ ​load​ ​to​ ​a​ ​customer,​ ​they’re​ ​not​ ​just​ ​working​ ​for​ ​us,​ ​and
