Pushing Creatives from DoubleClick Studio to DFA 6 Process Walkthrough for Creative Agencies and Media Agencies

Summary This walkthrough shows you how to make an association in DoubleClick Studio, push approved creatives in the QA Console, and import creatives into a campaign in DFA6. Step 1: Creative agency makes an association in DoubleClick Studio http://google.com/support/richmedia/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=150457

Before you can submit (or push) a creative to DFA, each DoubleClick Studio client must be associated with an existing advertiser in DFA. When you make an association, a trafficking code identifying the client is emailed to traffickers in DFA, who then use the code to create the association. The association ensures that any future creatives approved by QA are automatically published to the creative inventory for that advertiser. To make an association in DoubleClick Studio: 1. Click Make association. (You can access this button in the Clients tab and in the QA Console.) 2. In the Traffickers field, enter the email addresses of your media agency contacts, separated by commas. 3. Enter CC addresses, and check CC me to send a confirmation to yourself (optional). 4. Enter a Message to your recipients (optional). 5. Click Send. To break an existing association: 1. Click Break association. 2. Use the dialog box to set up an email that notifies traffickers of the broken association. 3. Click Send. Figure 1: Make association button

Step 2: Media agency adds DoubleClick Studio client code into DFA advertiser http://google.com/support/richmedia/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=141713

To make an association in DFA: 1. A creative agency selects Make Association in DoubleClick Studio. 2. An email is sent to the media agency trafficking contact provided earlier telling them how to link this DoubleClick Studio client with the media agency's advertiser in DFA.  Note that associations between DoubleClick Studio and DFA happen at the advertiser level.  Multiple creative agencies' DoubleClick Studio clients can be associated with a single media agency's DFA advertiser  Only one DFA advertiser can be associated with each client in DoubleClick Studio. We recommend that the creative agency use the naming conventions in the Media Agencies DFA Network "Media Agency (Network) - Advertiser." 3. The media agency trafficker logs into DFA and selects the advertiser, then opens the Advertiser Properties tab in DFA (see Figure 3). 2. The trafficker scrolls to the bottom of the Properties tab and enters the trafficking code (aka the DoubleClick Studio Client ID) provided by the creative agency and clicks Submit. The Studio Client is now linked to that DFA advertiser.

Step 3: Creative agency pushes creative from DoubleClick Studio to DFA http://google.com/support/richmedia/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=150456

Once a media agency enters the DoubleClick Studio client code into its DFA advertiser properties, a link is created. The creative agency must now push the creative to DFA. 1. Log into the QA Console and approve a creative. 2. If there's a link between DoubleClick Studio and DFA for this client, a Notify & Submit button is available. (If there is no link, Make association and Notify show instead.) 3. Click Notify & Submit to push the creatives to DFA and notify your agency contact that creatives are ready to traffic.

Step 4: Media agency imports Advertiser-level creatives to the Campaign level in DFA6 When creatives are pushed to DFA, they appear in the Advertiser level of the creative inventory. To traffic them in a campaign, you must import the creatives from the Advertiser-level to the Campaign level. 1. Open the campaign in DFA6 and select the Creatives tab. 2. Click Add Creative and select Advertiser-level Creative from the dropdown. 3. Check-mark the DoubleClick Studio creatives you want to traffic and click Import.
