Quick Guide to the Explain Everything App Explain Everything is an app that allows you to interact with images and presentations on the iPad, including adding annotations and recording live animation or voice narration. The Explain Everything iPad app records voiceover narration and actions on-screen in a screencast.
Creating and Editing Projects To begin a new project in Explain Everything, you can start from scratch with a blank project or upload images (JPG or PNG), or other compatible files (including PDF or RTF and PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Pages or Numbers files). Projects are presented as a series of slides, with new pages or images from imported documents, each appearing as a separate slide. You can rearrange, duplicate, insert, and delete slides within the project. Explain Everything uses standard design tools: draw, text and shapes. It also allows the import of images, movies, and files to be used with the design tools. Any item added to the screen becomes an independent object that can be moved, rotated, scaled, arranged, and deleted. Press and hold to use the design tools.

Recording In addition to manipulating the slides on screen, you can record a presentation or screencast. Using the record button at the bottom of the screen will capture your live annotation, object manipulations, laser pointer, and voice narration. You can continuously record while navigating from slide to slide, and easily pause the recording during interruptions. Since Explain Everything also allows you to open a live browser window, you can easily create projects that demonstrate or include web resources.!!
!
Recording Tips: 1. Press the record button to begin recording audio and screen action. Recording can be paused at any time and additional recording can be added to the end of the existing recording on the slide. 2. Each slide contains its own recording. These individual recordings are stitched together when you export your video. You can also advance to the next slide while recording and the recording will continue.
3. While recording, if you navigate to a slide that already has a recording, you will be asked to choose between replacing the existing recording or adding new recording to the video.! ! 4. To avoid creating an echo when inserting a video into your recording, select the option in the App settings (located in the top right corner) to mute the mic when playing inserted video.
