Ravenwood Radio Episode 36 – Starring Ditto Wizard! (transcription by Kevin Battleblood)

[Opening with The Friendly Necromancer’s “Ravenwood Radio Intro”]

DITTO:

[over the “Intro”] Ooh, it is starting! Me so excited!

STEPHEN:

Now, y’all know I am a fan of William Shakespeare. What you may not know is just how elegantly Shakespearean drama fits into our Wizarding world. Permit me to give you an example from Twelfth Night: “Some wizards are born great! Some achieve greatness. And some wizards have greatness thrust upon them! And, fair students of Ravenwood, precious few wizards…are born…Ditto.”

DITTO:

Go Steve!—

STEPHEN:

[laughs] You are listening to Ravenwood Radio! This is episode 36! I am Stephen Spiritcaller – you heard that voice, that’s him! – but I’m gonna get to him in a little bit, because first, I’m gonna say that other person with us, that’s Fallon Deathslinger!

FALLON:

Good evening!

STEPHEN:

Okay, we’re not gonna wait anymore! Fallon, I know normally we have a little chit-chat right here – we’re not gonna do it.

FALLON:

I’m too excited!

STEPHEN:

Me too!

FALLON:

No chit-chat tonight!

STEPHEN:

The guest host we have with us – gosh I’m super excited about this – that would be…Ditto!

DITTO:

Hey, everybody! It is the Ditto! [Fallon chuckles]

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 2

STEPHEN:

You can’t imagine how excited we are about this show! I think that we have texted back and forth this week more than – in preparation – of any other show prior to this one!

FALLON:

We’re like kids in a candy store! [laughs]

STEPHEN:

I know, it’s super exciting!

DITTO:

Me’s very excited too; I’m very excited to be here!

STEPHEN:

We have lots to talk about: lots of news, we wanna hear your impressions from PAX and from the interviews that you did, but let’s talk about what we’ve done in Wizard101 over the past few weeks. I’m gonna get started because I got “Master Artisan!”

FALLON:

Yay!!

DITTO:

Yay!!

STEPHEN:

You know what – it seems like that it is just interminable sessions of farming; way too long, and nothing is there, and I’m just pulling my hair out, but I finished putting everything together, made “Master Artisan,” and I set up a spreadsheet for all the reagents I’m gonna need for the Observatory. Bought everything I could from a Reagent Vendor, and the rest I’m gonna have to farm. Now, a lot of the reagents I’ve got covered, including the Celestial Shields after a farming session with Fallon and Kevin [Battleblood] – did you get yours too?

FALLON:

Yes!

STEPHEN:

That’s awesome!

FALLON:

Kevin actually got them and sold them to me. He got them the night that you got them.

STEPHEN:

Those ones – I figured we were gonna be there for hours!

FALLON:

Yeah…

STEPHEN:

And I don’t think we were there for more than an hour or 90 minutes!

FALLON:

Right – yeah, I was happy about that!

DITTO:

Cool!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 3

STEPHEN:

The problem with that is that I’m starting to get into the really grindy parts of reagent farming where you need “100 Pearls” or “80 Acorns.” For example, Acorns are selling for huge cash money at the Bazaar. If you have Acorns, and you have no use for them and aren’t crafting, you are missing out on the revenue stream if you do not go and sell them! At one point, I saw an Acorn selling for 1,000 Gold for one Acorn!

DITTO:

Wow! A thousand gold for an Acorn!

STEPHEN:

I know! And you know, you can transmute Mistwood into them, so you could get 15 Mistwood, transmute that into an Acorn, and flip it! Not unlike real estate five years ago.

DITTO:

Ah, yes! Must be a lot of squirrels at the Bazaar!

STEPHEN:

I think there are! [Fallon laughs] I think that there’s a bunch – squirrels and chipmunks – I think that they are all there doing some pretty serious trading – but, I’ve got almost all I need, so I’m fixing to move on and farm for Aether – and I’ve got a bad feeling that all the time I’m gonna spend in-game for the next 6 weeks farming for reagents.

FALLON:

They take forever to get!

STEPHEN:

They really do. Ditto, do you craft?

DITTO:

Ah, uh, I’ve only been doing the general Crafting quests! So far, just the quest that you get in each world, just to get my next rank in Crafting, but I do have a goal – a personal goal – in the game. After visiting someone’s Celestial Observatory – I want one! So, me want to craft one! Eventually.

STEPHEN:

I don’t blame you – they’re pretty sweet.

FALLON:

He’s gonna feel your pain down the road, then.

STEPHEN:

Oh, eventually!

DITTO:

I-I-I’m very sure that I will!

FALLON:

Well, this weekend, I worked on getting all the badges I didn’t have. That wasn’t as hard as I thought it was gonna be. I spent a lot of time on the Ninja Pigs, and I did get the Nightwalker [sic; Nightstalker] badge, but now I have all the badges that I need. We also went to Icy’s and Stormy’s second Wizaversary parties!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 4

STEPHEN:

Good!

DITTO:

That was fun!

FALLON:

You were there too, weren’t you? You both were!

STEPHEN:

Yeah! That was a lot of fun!

DITTO:

Yes, I was! Yep!

FALLON:

Yes! I also spent a lot of time fighting Jade Oni, trying to get the new version of his pet, and I was so happy because I finally did get it! When I trained him, what I really wanted was the new Talent – the “May Cast Hex” – and guess what?

DITTO:

You got it?

FALLON:

Yes! The first Talent! I was so happy! So that was a really great move.

DITTO:

That is…that is very lucky, yes!

FALLON:

I know! It doesn’t happen that often that way! I also decided to do some Grizzleheim questing on my Ice and my Fire – which I don’t want to get into – another reason why I’m happy that I did that – quite yet. But, I’m happy! I did some Ranked 3v3 and 4v4 PVP matches, and a few practice matches with my daughter (and we did quite well!) And, just like you, I had to get a lot of reagents because I’m working on crafting the Observatory as well! But, I spent tons of gold in the Bazaar instead of farming [laughs]. I cheated a little; I spent a pretty decent amount of time in there. I’m far away, but I’m still trying! That was pretty much my last two weeks – it didn’t seem like much, but it took up a lot of time!

STEPHEN:

I wish that I had tons of gold to spend…

DITTO:

Yes, really…

FALLON:

[chuckles]

STEPHEN:

I feel like I’m always broke!

FALLON:

I think I spent so much – I got a lot of it from farming Jade Oni trying to get that pet; that really helped out a lot! So, it was a good thing that I did that!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 5

DITTO:

Yeah, he gives good stuff. I got a couple of good drops from him!

FALLON:

Yeah, and I like his pet.

DITTO:

I have not gotten his pet; I’m happy with Madame Jasmine!

STEPHEN:

Hey, you know what, that was something I was gonna ask! Have you done any training with Madame Jasmine?

DITTO:

A little bit! She enjoys being shot out of a cannon, so, we have done that a bit, but she is not (all the way) trained up yet. She is, I guess, about halfway through Adult, I think.

STEPHEN:

Has she manifested any really cool Talents?

DITTO:

The only one that she has that is useful is – she gives me a Fire Blade! That stacks with a regular-casted Fire Blade. Other than that—

STEPHEN:

That’s pretty sweet!—

FALLON:

Oh, yeah! The “May Cast” blade?

DITTO:

Yeah, that is handy!

FALLON:

Yeah, I like that. That Talent’s pretty cool.

STEPHEN:

Okay, so, tell us, aside from PAX, what did you do in the game?

DITTO:

Well, what I did in the game: obviously, not a ton of time in-game, because I had a lot of preparation for the PAX East, but I made Rank 7 Gardener. Uh, that kinda sneaks up on you! Like, “Ahh! Just check my plants, just check my plants…hey, wait a minute! I made Rank 7!” So, I’m really growing a bunch of Pink Dandelions and Snap Dragons! I like growing the Snap Dragons, they are pretty cute; I like them! I had them on either side of the door of my Fire House. And, I also did go to Stormywiz’s Spring Break Party, which was a lot of fun! Happy to see everybody there! And today, I had some time, around lunchtime, around the middle of the day: I was questing around in Dragonspyre, and made it to the Plaza of Conquests, and made Level 45!

FALLON:

Nice!

DITTO:

So, it’s kind of a big deal for me! Yeah!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 6

FALLON:

Congratulations!

STEPHEN:

You are knocking on the door of Malistaire!

DITTO:

Oh, yes! He is coming! We are coming for him!

STEPHEN:

Well, we wanna talk a lot about PAX East, but a tradition that I started when Fallon first came on was our 10 questions for guest hosts – and I came up with some, and Fallon came up with a few others.

DITTO:

Is it really a tradition if you’ve only done it once?

STEPHEN:

…I…I think so! I think I’ll make it a tradition – by force of will!

DITTO:

Ah, excellent!

STEPHEN:

All right, so Fallon, you go first with yours!

FALLON:

Okay! Number one – and you can just give us one little quick answer, or whatever you want: “If Fabricated Americans could live in the current area of the Spiral, where would they live?”

DITTO:

I would think…probably Mooshu! The weather is very nice, and there’s not all that sand!

FALLON:

Nice! “In one word, describe your first impression of PAX.”

DITTO:

Ahh-ugh-ahh-ughh-ahh! [both main hosts laugh] Is that a word?

STEPHEN:

It is!

FALLON:

Yeah! It is now!

STEPHEN:

I’ve made it a word by force of will! [all chuckle]

FALLON:

“What is your favorite pet in the Spiral?”

DITTO:

Well, of course my favorite pet in the Spiral is the Madame Jasmine! The Firezilla! But, there are a lot of very cute ones, too. I like the Piggles! Piggles are really adorable, too!

FALLON:

“What is your #1 safety tip, for everyone listening?”

DITTO:

Oooh! “#1 Safety Tip” I—pulling a Ditto on me!

FALLON:

Yes! I am!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 7

DITTO:

My #1 safety tip to everyone listening is: Be smart. If somebody is asking you something – or doing something – that you feel is inappropriate, then walk away, or tell somebody, or log off – whatever you need to do – but always pay attention, and be smart!

FALLON:

Great answer!

STEPHEN:

I like that! Okay, I have the next six. “If you were on an all-Fabricated American Four-Monster PVP Team, what would the team’s name be?”

DITTO:

Oooh! That is tricky one! Um… “The Scooby Gang.”

STEPHEN:

I like it! I like that a lot!

FALLON:

[laughs] I like that, too! That’s great!

STEPHEN:

Next one! “What is the best dessert Miss Narrator makes?”

DITTO:

Oooh! That one – I’m going to have to say “Bailey’s Cheesecake with Girl Scout Cookie Crust!”

STEPHEN:

[sighs] That sounds so good…

DITTO:

She crushes up Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies into the crust, and makes a Bailey’s Cheesecake with, I think, walnuts! It’s amazing!

STEPHEN:

It sounds so good!

FALLON:

Oh my gosh, it sounds good…

DITTO:

It should be criminal. [Fallon laughs]

STEPHEN:

Okay, next! “Better mount for a Pyromancer: a Pontiac Firebird, or an actual Firebird?”

DITTO:

Oooh! Um…I would say “an actual Firebird” – unless the Pontiac Firebird is like a nice late ‘80s model with the big decal up on the hood, because that’s pretty cool! [Fallon and Stephen chuckle]

STEPHEN:

All right, next! “Who has the best jump-shot on Sesame Street?”

DITTO:

Believe it or not, Sesame Street – I think the best jump-shot – nah, that would be more of a dunk. The best jump-shot…I would say…Oscar [the Grouch]. He is much more agile than you would think!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 8

STEPHEN:

Next: “Have you been completely cut off [from] eating chicken fried rice?”

DITTO:

Um…oooh! You know, now that you mention it, I haven’t had it in awhile! I’ve been going with the beef lately. Especially since I finished Mooshu. Yeah, I think – pretty much cut off from the chicken fried rice, yes.

STEPHEN:

Last one – and this ties in to the news today: “Which of the two new pets do you like? The Egg, or the Nightmare?”

DITTO:

Ohh, me have to say the Nightmare. The Nightmare is a very cool looking pet. The Egg looks cute – it is cute and adorable, but I think the Nightmare – that is the first pet me have seen that me would think of uh…unequipping Madame Jasmine for.

STEPHEN:

It is pretty cool; I agree with you. Okay, ten questions done! See, now it’s been done twice! I think it is officially a tradition now.

DITTO:

Yes, it is officially tradition now, yes. That is correct!

STEPHEN:

All right, then let’s talk about the news! We just finished up with it, so that’s what we’ll lead in with—

DITTO:

Okay—

STEPHEN:

And that is new pets! The Pet Egg and the Nightmare were discovered this week! Now, the Pet Egg is an Ice Pet that’s hatched from a Colossus and a pet shop Dragon, gives a Tower Shield card, and when I say “Pet Egg,” it’s kind of what it looks like: an egg with duck feet. Nightmare is really sweet. Ditto, can you give me a description of what [the] Nightmare looks like?

DITTO:

Ohhh, Nightmare is very cool! It, kind of, looks like a black-grey horse with fiery fur – like a fiery mane. It is very cool-looking. If anybody has played old-school Magic the Gathering, it looks like the Nightmare card – Death card. The same kind of thing.

STEPHEN:

It gives a Meteor Card!

DITTO:

Yes, Meteor Strike! Yay!! [both Fallon and Stephen chuckle] Me want—

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 9

FALLON:

You’ll know what you have, yes. Actually, today – and I have to give a special thanks to Paige Moonshade’s friend, Jessica – she actually let me come see her Pet Egg—

DITTO:

Oh, cool!—

FALLON:

And that thing is so adorable! He does the “Moonwalk,” he breakdances, and then he jumps up in the air and kicks his feet together [Stephen chuckles]. It is adorable! I was really happy that they – I saw Paige on Twitter say something about how her friend had one, so I asked her if I could come see it this afternoon. Oh, it was – I have to have one now! I tried a couple of times to get one this evening, but it didn’t work!

DITTO:

When you are hatching, they’re not quite as expensive with hatching, right…because one of the pets they are using is just a regular shop pet?

STEPHEN:

That’s what I heard—

FALLON:

Yeah, it was under 18,000. Yeah.

DITTO:

Oooh!

STEPHEN:

Which is a bargain! I recall when you and I were hatching the 55 or 56 Pedigree pets that we were trying to get a match from – that was, gosh, a heck of a lot more expensive!

FALLON:

Yeah—

DITTO:

Oh, sure! Yes!

FALLON:

Yeah, what Ditto said with – it helped bring in a lot of those pets in the Pet Shop. The Unicorn and Dragon: adding those in really lowered the price a lot! So that was great.

DITTO:

Ooh!

STEPHEN:

I think it’s neat that they’re making those a little bit more than cosmetic. I mean, my Unicorn just runs around my house, and now there’s actually something cool I can use him for.

FALLON:

Mhm! And, we did get an email from KingsIsle!

DITTO:

Oh yes, yes! I saw that come in!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 10

FALLON:

Yes! I know they said, “it seems as if the gate on the holding pen swung open, and the stampede through the Spiral has occurred! We were trying to hold some of the pets as holiday treats, but they were too anxious to make an appearance, and escaped into the world!” So, they told us to “enjoy!” So, I have a feeling that little Egg – well, everybody probably knows – that it was supposed to be something with Easter!

DITTO:

Yep!

STEPHEN:

Sounds like it, yeah—

FALLON:

They escaped! Yeah, I was glad to see it! We’ve been wanting new pets!

DITTO:

I’m wondering if there may be another pet or two that escaped, but nobody has found yet, because it’s a rare hatch—

FALLON:

Yeah—

DITTO:

Like, maybe there’s more than just the two!

FALLON:

Well, I know that few people have been trying the rest of the pets that are in the Wizard City Pet Shop.

DITTO:

Oh!

FALLON:

So yeah, hopefully someone else comes up with something, because I think it would be like, Wraith, maybe? There you go, STEPHEN: try your Wraith with something!

STEPHEN:

Yeah, that’s a good idea, yeah. I wonder if my Wraith would match up with … oh gosh, the construct. I want my Wraith and one of those little Clockwork guys to generate something. [Fallon chuckles]

DITTO:

That’ll be cool!

STEPHEN:

The Terminator. The mini-Terminator. [Ditto chuckles]

FALLON:

That’d be neat!

DITTO:

Awesome!

FALLON:

I’m sure everyone has already seen, but on the launcher: take a survey and win some Crowns! Did you guys do that yet?

DITTO:

I did it, yep! I did it a couple days ago! Very easy!

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 11

FALLON:

Yeah – and there are also – there was a Weekly Wizard101 Code Giveaway on Facebook. This Friday, at 9:30 A.M. Central, they’ll be giving away a code for a Swift Shark mount to randomly selected Facebook fans. So, last week, there were ten winners of the Marleybone Car. So, if you’re not a Friend on Facebook or you didn’t “Like” them, I suggest going [there] and “Like”-ing it!

DITTO:

Oh, definitely!

FALLON:

Yeah, you’ll be entered in the drawing.

STEPHEN:

So, this is something where: if you’ve already “Like”-ed them, you’re entered. You don’t actually need to do something else, right?

DITTO:

Correct, yep!

FALLON:

Right.

STEPHEN:

Okay.

DITTO:

That is correct.

FALLON:

Yep.

DITTO:

Yep. Oh, and did you guys see what else was in the launcher – the Wizard101 launcher? Me!!

FALLON:

I saw that—[Stephen chuckles]—Congratulations!

STEPHEN:

I know, I think it’s awesome!

DITTO:

Me, too, believe me! Took me by surprise!

FALLON:

[chuckles] You’re probably getting a lot of hits on the blog, right?

DITTO:

Oooh, three or four… [both main hosts chuckle]

FALLON:

Thousand!

STEPHEN:

Thousand.

DITTO:

[pause] It was very exciting!

FALLON:

I don’t know if it was mentioned last night, and I don’t recall seeing it on the announcement with the last update: we now receive a 1-Day Mount

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 12

Rental from Sierra Nightshade on Unicorn Way after defeating Rattlebones! I started a level 5 Wizard – I forgot to mention that – last week, and I ended up getting the broom from them after defeating Rattlebones. STEPHEN:

That’s a fantastic way to sell mounts.

FALLON:

Yeah!

DITTO:

Yes, it is – once you try a mount, I don’t think you’d want to walk around again.

STEPHEN:

Oh, yes. No, even my really low level wizards have a mount of some kind. [chuckles] It just can’t be done! [Ditto chuckles]

FALLON:

No…I know, it’s hard to walk! [chuckles]

STEPHEN:

Let’s talk PAX a little bit, especially because we have the big news that came out of PAX East, so take us a little bit through [it]. I imagine that most of the folks who listen to the show have never been to a really big gaming convention like the Penny Arcade Expo.

DITTO:

No, probably not. It was impressive, to say the least. Miss Narrator and I went there – just got there after it opened on the Saturday morning, and there were huge crowds of people still waiting to get in, because, again, we’re getting there just as it opened. And, when I say “huge crowds of people,” I [mean] like a football field full of people. It was enormous. Lots and lots of people. We all then got into the show floor, and I have a hard time explaining the scale. I am a small, furry monster – and everything was so big around me. These booths that the companies setup to show off their games: some of them built buildings inside the building. It was really, really crazy. Some of the highlights were, of course, the Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO – they do a ton of stuff with that, and they literally have the Darth Vader walking around, and they had Storm Troopers that were guarding the entrances, and they had a couple of Jedis sneaking around with the Lightsabers, and they had screen – they had TV screens that were literally the size of my living room wall that were showing the game trailers and all kind of exciting things about the game. Inside the booth – again, it was built like a building inside the building –

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 13

they were having demos of the game. People could come in and play demos of the game. The lines for playing demos of some of these games made Disneyland look amateur [Stephen chuckles]. They had lines, probably, 200 people long. They had the little – the signs, like at the Disneyland, where you say, “The wait from this point in the line is 2 hours.” There were people standing at the line saying, “Oh, good, we have only 2 hours left to wait!” [Fallon chuckles] I had never experienced anything like that, and it was really cool, but it was also kind of…um…I guess a little scary. Kinda. Speaking of scary: there are many games at the PAX that frighten the Ditto. Some of the games there that they were showing off were so realistic. They had the big screens and the people showing them off – they were so realistic, it was terrifying! It really was! I mean, I’m sure if you are into those games, and you are older people and – y’know, that are allowed to play those kind of games – they are very, very exciting! But, uh, Ditto is a small, furry monster, and the superhyper-realistic with the giant guns and the explosions and the blood: very, very scary. But, the technology is impressive! STEPHEN:

You also got to interview Watson while you were there!

DITTO:

Yes, yes, I did! That was very exciting for me, obviously! I can tell you a little bit: I had asked – when I knew that Miss Narrator and I were going to the PAX, I sent an email to the KingsIsle – not even to anybody specific; I just sent it to one of the links on the KingsIsle site – and said, “Hello! I’m a small, furry monster, and I write a blog about your game, and I would like to meet you!” They sent an email back. They said, “Sure! We would like to meet you, too!” Ditto was kind of expecting, “I would meet them, shake their hands, and say, ‘Hello! I am a small, furry monster.’” But, no, when we got there, Watson was very, very happy to meet me, and he was all excited to meet me! We actually went to a quiet area, and he sat down with me and Miss Narrator, and he told us all about the game, answered our questions – and it was a lot of fun! He was very, very nice!

STEPHEN:

He seemed like a real nice guy! I’ve chatted with him once – we did an interview with him once and he always seemed real nice.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 14

DITTO:

Oh, yeah! He was great, he was very nice. There was another guy that was helping him out, named Ben, and both of them were very, very nice! Again, [they] answered all of our questions – that was the first video; you saw the first interview video. The questions that I got from people who go to the website – I got a number of people that sent me questions – so I asked them five, and I had a couple of questions of my own, and he seemed to really like them. Then, it got really exciting for me, because he said, “Now that that part is done, this next part you cannot show until the Tuesday!” He told me all about – the big thing we will talk about, which is – Wintertusk!

STEPHEN:

The next Wizard101 world. Now, he called it a different name in that video – I think he was calling it “Jotungaard”? Was that right?

DITTO:

Jotungaard, yes. He called it “Jotungaard” a couple of times, and I got clarification on that later; Jotungaard is one of the hubs in the new area, in the Wintertusk. He said it was in the Wintertusk Mountains, and it was an important area within the world, but the world was not called the Jotungaard. So, I guess he was maybe just a little more nervous than he let on. But, yes, the world is actually called “Wintertusk.”

STEPHEN:

Now, we haven’t learned a whole lot about Wintertusk, yet. We know that this completes the epic storyline that began in Grizzleheim, and that this is effectively Grandmother Raven’s storyline. Fallon, can you tell me a little bit of what you know about the Coven and the fifth chair? This is something that I’m not real familiar with. I haven’t gotten that far in Grizzleheim, yet.

FALLON:

I only went through it once – I went through it so fast that I probably couldn’t. [chuckles] I don’t know…

STEPHEN:

That’s okay!

FALLON:

No, I didn’t – I apologize – I just wanted to get that over with.

STEPHEN:

I know, I was gonna say I’m real embarrassed, because the only interaction I’ve had with them is had somebody port me there so that I could farm the heck out of them and make money! [Fallon and Ditto laugh] So terrible.

DITTO:

[inaudible]

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 15

FALLON:

I know, I apologize.

STEPHEN:

However, they did tell us some interesting stuff about Wintertusk – something we have to look forward to.

DITTO:

Yep! Brand new areas for the high-level wizards – so if you are all maxed out in the Celestia, I guess there’s gonna be some new areas for you to explore and discover in the Wintertusk. They did confirm that there will be some new spells – he did not say what school they were, or what kind of spells, obviously – but, there are new spells to look forward to! I think all student wizards should be looking forward to the new spells! One thing that I am very excited about is the Level 58 Class Pets for each primary school – so, that’s a pretty big deal! I’m very excited to see what those pets are going to be. This one, I’m also really happy about, because we’ve had so much fun with the Selena Gomez quest line – they’re gonna revamp that Crab King introductory zone for the low-level characters. So, it’ll probably be the same thing like in the Selena Gomez where you found the anchor, and you click on it, and it brought you down into the water. Probably something similar to that. The Crab King is back from his tour with Selena Gomez, so I guess we can help him out again! [Stephen chuckles]

FALLON:

I really liked him!

STEPHEN:

I do, too!

DITTO:

It was a fun story! I really liked that story; it was quite cute!

STEPHEN:

With [inaudible] and his court as their backup dancers!

FALLON:

[laughs] Yeah, that was great!

DITTO:

Very excellent dancers!

FALLON:

Yeah, I like that. Well that’s interesting. So many things to look forward to.

STEPHEN:

So, out of everything that you saw at PAX East—

DITTO:

Yeah—

STEPHEN:

What would you say was the high point of the whole show?

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 16

DITTO:

Well, the high point for the whole show was, obviously, talking to the KingsIsle: talking to Fred Watson – that was amazing, that was definitely more than I expected, and, for this furry, orange monster, that was a really big deal. But, there were a lot of great things! I met some great game designers who are dedicated to making the family-friendly and the safer games, which is very important to me, obviously! I went to a couple of really good and interesting panels – learned a lot about [the] inside [of] the video game industry, which is an interesting place! You think about what goes on behind all these great games that they make and we play. But yeah, the high point is definitely talking to KingsIsle. Oh, and I had some chicken fingers with Miss Narrator. That was a high point, too! [Fallon and Stephen laugh]

FALLON:

I saw that on Twitter! [giggles]

STEPHEN:

Does Madame Jasmine know about these chicken fingers? Does she have anything to say about that?

DITTO:

No, and we’re not going to tell her.

STEPHEN:

Okay, fair enough! [Ditto chuckles] All right, well, we have a number of email questions, Chatroom questions, Twitter questions, and I think – probably the lion’s share of them are going to be Ditto-centric, which is totally cool! But, let us get started with them. Otherwise, we are going to be here for a very, very, very long time!

DITTO:

Okay!

FALLON:

There was one that came in – actually, it wasn’t really a question, but on the first show I was on, somebody asked us about the Life School – do you remember that? I think it was Chris Spellcaster? He asked us [if] there was a Life School in Dragonspyre?

STEPHEN:

Right, we thought that one might have existed at some time.

FALLON:

Well, we said, “No,” and just kind of assumed it wasn’t. There was actually an email that came in from Lady Blade from Twitter, and she said she thinks there was once a Life School in Dragonspyre, and she put a little theory together and would like to explain it for us:

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 17

First, for those who believe Dragonspyre never held anything beautiful or green, I would like to point out that the Grand Chasm’s past instance. In it, there’s clear blue water, instead of lava and several green trees blooming. In the current Chasm, there’s a lava, and one or two burnt trees. Second, if you look at Dragonspyre Academy, it’s set up to be symmetrical, meaning perfectly even on both sides. However, there’s a landslide blocking one side of it. I think that landslide is hiding the two remaining schools: Life and Balance. If you go on the second level and looked to the left of the Death School – whom she named “Rigor” – there’s a half-buried planter that looks exactly like the one Rigor and Ashley are in. The rest of it’s hidden by the landslide. Also, at the right angle, you can just make out the upper [inaudible] of what looks like a doorway right next to where the planter is. It’s best to see the opposite sides, which is where I shot the screenshots. I believe that to be the remains of the sixth school. Lastly, if you look across from Ashley, there are two pillars just like the ones on the doorway of the other schools. The rest is buried, but they remain standing. I think that’s the entrance to the seventh school. So, that’s her theory! STEPHEN:

The next time that I’m in Dragonspyre, I’m gonna have to go and check that out. I might print out what she has here, and take that with me as a guide. I’m really curious now.

FALLON:

She did show me [when I ported to her], and it’s a very good theory! So yeah, definitely, if you haven’t checked it out, I would. But, thank you, Lady Blade, for sending that in!

DITTO:

That’s very interesting, actually!

FALLON:

Yeah!

STEPHEN:

All right! Email questions! First one is from “Caleb Storysong”: Dear Ravenwood Radio, After I die, my minion still attacks during PVP. What if my minion defeats my opponent? Is it a tie, or does he still win? I didn’t know, and you and I talked about this – in fact, the three of us

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 18

talked about it, and we couldn’t come up with a solid answer, but you were able to get one! FALLON:

Yes! Actually, it happened to Ronan Dawn, so thank you, Ronan! It becomes a “Draw.” He had it happen to him, so I was glad he had proof! [chuckles]

STEPHEN:

Next one we have is from Sierra Starsong: I know Beguile makes an enemy work for your team for one round, but what does it do to human opponents in PVP? We had a crack team of PVPers test this out!

FALLON:

Yes!

DITTO:

Awesome!

FALLON:

Diana Wildheart, Paige Moonshade, Paul Sandbreeze, and SorceressMiklai – they helped Kevin test it out today. [Link to description read on-air.] So, it’s very confusing when you get hit with this [chuckles].

STEPHEN:

I was gonna say, “That hurts my head…”

DITTO:

Yes, I – Yeah. That definitely hurts my head.

FALLON:

Yeah, it’s confusing. Sometimes I’ll still stand there, and think like, “Okay, I think it’s going this way…and I think I’m just gonna pass!” [laughs with Stephen] ‘cause when you’re in there, and you get hit – quite a few times I’ve been Beguiled and hit my team. So, that’s why we don’t like going against Death players. But, thank you, Kevin and the rest [of the researchers] for testing it out for us. I know it’s a long explanation, but it’s exactly the way it works!

STEPHEN:

Next mail: Hey, I’m new to your site, and I think it’s pretty sweet!—

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 19

Thank you, we like it, too! Anyway, here is my question: “What are some great ways to find people to play Wizard101 on places like Facebook? I heard that there are a lot of PVP matches out there from your last show, and I would love to watch. And, maybe someone can help me become a better player. It would be nice to have some good friends to play with. What are your suggestions to finding players to play with that I could communicate with? Good job with the show, guys. I really did enjoy my first one. Keep it going! Your fan, Cortez aka McPro Well, Fallon came up with a pretty good list of possibilities. FALLON:

Yeah, actually, there’s quite a few of us on Twitter – there must be like, what, sixty or seventy of us, and we actually have a list – on the Ravenwood Radio Forum – of wizards that are on Twitter, a.k.a. #twizards. So, if you want to look at that list, you can start following someone there. Also, if you go to http://my.diaryofawizard.com, and you look under “Groups,” then go to the “PVP Party Forum,” you can join us for the PVP parties.

DITTO:

We had some great PVP parties!

STEPHEN:

Yeah, we do! We really do. I usually get whomped pretty solidly in them, but they are a lot of fun!

FALLON:

[laughs] Yeah. I’ll tell you: there’s a lot of people that have really grown, so, it’s a really good way to learn! Some people that didn’t have that PVP “bug” until they started coming to the parties.

STEPHEN:

All right. I think we’re moving into Twitter questions, so why don’t you get us started?

FALLON:

Okay, so we have two that go together; the first one from @alricravenwiz: Although we don’t know its plot, what are your thoughts or theories on Granny Raven’s involvement in Wintertusk, and do you believe she’ll make an appearance in the Morganthe arc?

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 20

Then, Ben Frogstone [asked]: What are your predictions for Wintertusk? I personally think there’re going to be polar bears. So, I put those together. [Stephen chuckles] DITTO:

Oh, polar bears would be fun!

FALLON:

Yeah!

STEPHEN:

Yeah, let’s start with the bottom and work up. I think polar bears would be neat! In fact, I think going arctic would be really fun: polar bears, penguins, seals; I think working from a very arctic angle would be a lot of fun.

FALLON:

I like those ideas, too—

DITTO:

Oooh, like Walrus-people! Gonna have walrus-people with the big tusks.

FALLON:

Oh, I like that one! Yeah, I like that idea. Up until now, until you guys said that, I just kept picturing Grizzleheim all over again. I don’t know why!

DITTO:

Yeah, I don’t think it will be the Grizzleheim all over again. I think they’re gonna do something cool.

FALLON:

I think it just follows the storyline, that’s why I kept thinking it.

DITTO:

Right – very true, yes!

STEPHEN:

Now, Alric’s question – “we don’t know the plot”…right. “What are your theories and predictions – Granny Raven’s involvement in Wintertusk.” I think it’s been made pretty clear that she is the boss for that world. I don’t think we’re gonna see her in the Morganthe arc. It seems to me like she is tied to the Grizzleheim storyline, and it seems like the Grizzleheim has been really independent of the main story arcs, so I don’t think that we’ll see her. I mean, I could be wrong, but, I wouldn’t count on it.

DITTO:

I think she is going to bake cookies! [Fallon chuckles]

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 21

STEPHEN:

I hope so—

DITTO:

I’m pretty sure!

FALLON:

We need that, don’t we?

DITTO:

Yeah!

FALLON:

Yeah, I like your idea!

STEPHEN:

Yeah, I like the idea of having a nice grandma who makes cookies – instead of try[ing] to blow you up.

DITTO:

Yes! Preferable, definitely.

FALLON:

The next one’s from @MEGALUS. No, you say it better – you have to say it.

STEPHEN:

Okay, the next one is from [deeper, assertive tone] MEGALUS! [Fallon and Ditto chuckle]: Why do people constantly theory-craft on new releases instead of just talking about what they already know is coming out? Well, there’s a bunch of reasons, and I think it boils down to: “It’s fun!” In the absence of any real news – and as long as you’re not passing it off as the gospel truth – speculating about it is fun! Using your imagination on it, and getting to play a “what if” – “If I worked at KingsIsle, this is maybe what I would do” – is fun! It’s a good time, and that’s why.

DITTO:

It is fun, and I mean, we know all the official stuff is about two paragraphs long, right now, so there’s not much else to do with the official stuff, so we can just extrapolate, “Ah! This is gonna be cool, and here’s what we like,” just like you said, Stephen. It’s more fun!

STEPHEN:

Moving on: first question of the evening for Ditto, and this is from Sierra Starsong!

DITTO:

Yay! Hi, Sierra!

STEPHEN:

“Ditto, with all that fur, how can you be a Pyromancer and not have a heat stroke? My long hair gets really hot in the summer.”

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 22

DITTO:

Ah, well, um…it is tricky. But, I have a little fan that I blow on me, and I have a really good cooling system on my computer, so it doesn’t get too hot. [Fallon chuckles]

STEPHEN:

Next one we’ve got is from Angel Winterbreeze: “What is your opinion on the naming or tagging system? For example, when we’re in a group, we could name it so – instead of the badge, like ‘Savior of the Spiral’ showing up – it would be the name of our group, like TPC, or Frostflame. Of course, it’d have to be allowed in the chat from the group creator to keep everything family friendly!”

FALLON:

I like it [chuckles].

DITTO:

I like that one.

STEPHEN:

I like that idea.

FALLON:

Because he mentioned “TPC…” [Ditto and Stephen laugh] If I could have my own group – and for people [who] don’t know, it’s Team Perfect Catch, by the way – but yeah, I like that idea!

STEPHEN:

I think that being able to – maybe even spend a few Crowns – to buy my own custom badge – I think that would be a lot of fun!

DITTO:

That would be cool, yes. I agree; I think that would be nice!

FALLON:

He had a second part to that question. “I was thinking we could tag or mark something ‘Don’t Sell’ so we don’t accidentally sell something that we didn’t mean to.

DITTO:

Oh, yes, please do that!

STEPHEN:

[chuckles] I would like that a lot!

FALLON:

You know what, I posted that suggestion on one of the forums, and I said I would like to be able to “star” it. Have a star next to it, click the star, and it stays up there so you don’t sell it – I like that idea.

DITTO:

Yep!

STEPHEN:

All right, let’s see what we have next.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 23

FALLON:

We have a Facebook question from Cat O’Nine Tails – question for Ditto! “Did the game tell when we could expect the new world, either on Test Realm or Live Realm?”

DITTO:

Ah, no, unfortunately they did not. They did not give any indication of when. There is not even a hint of “coming soon” or “coming later in the summer.” They were very specific about not having a date in mind. I think, with the KingsIsle, they will let us know when it is ready. They will always pride themselves on putting out the quality product. We never have a lot of big problems with the game, so, I will just trust them to let us know when it is ready, and it will be really good when it gets here!

FALLON:

Great!

STEPHEN:

Do you all remember what the time period was between the first announcement of Celestia and then when it actually hit the Test Realm? I know it hit the Test Realm when it was mid-October, because that was Austin GDC. You remember when it was first announced?

FALLON:

I don’t remember when they announced it. Was it before [Advanced] Pets, or after?

STEPHEN:

Before—

FALLON:

It was before—

STEPHEN:

Well, they were announced at the same time.

FALLON:

Right.

STEPHEN:

But, I wanna say it was mid-spring…or March. Maybe April.

FALLON:

Yeah, I’m not sure.

DITTO:

I do not remember, either. I think I probably got something about it in my blog, but I’m not on my blog right now, so I don’t remember. [Fallon chuckles]

STEPHEN:

In any case, if I were to be doing a little of that theory-crafting, I would imagine we would be looking at a similar timeframe. So, if it was just announced now, in March, I would maybe look toward seeing it in October, or thereabouts. Again, that is just my own speculation.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 24

FALLON:

It does look like we have some Chatroom Questions!

STEPHEN:

My, gosh, we have tons of Chatroom Questions!

FALLON:

I know! Wow…

STEPHEN:

Okay, you get us started!

FALLON:

All right. “Master of Myth”: Do you think they’ll ever take wizard levels to 100?

STEPHEN:

Ahh…eventually.

DITTO:

I think it is possible! They need to come up with more spells and more content for them, but it certain it possible!

FALLON:

Yeah, I see down the road – years.

DITTO:

Yeah!

FALLON:

Not soon.

DITTO:

No, definitely not around the corner, no.

FALLON:

No.

STEPHEN:

Yeah, it sounds like they aren’t raising the level cap for Wintertusk, so, it’s gonna be awhile. [Ditto and Fallon agree]

FALLON:

“Jenna Unicornwiz”: Do you think they’ll ever add another main school?

DITTO:

Oooh. Uh, that a tricky one. Adding a main school…er…oh, I don’t know. I’m gonna say that would probably be very, very difficult. Just—

STEPHEN:

Yeah, I can’t see it, either.

DITTO:

Yeah. All the spells, I mean – the school-building. Where are they gonna put the school-building for another school? Yeah, I think that that would be difficult. I like what they did with the Celestia schools; the adding of the Celestia schools. I think that was very clever: adding the schools that were kinda beneficial to the main schools, but were not huge, main schools themselves. I think they might add a bunch more schools and secondary spells that way, but the main school – I think it would be really difficult.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 25

FALLON:

Yeah, I agree. I could see the secondaries, yeah.

STEPHEN:

“Wintertusk’s Son” asks: What do you think the new spells will be?

FALLON:

Oh, gosh… [laughs]

STEPHEN:

I’ve gotta say: I haven’t given that a lick of thought, yet.

DITTO:

Uh, enhanced Meteor Strike. [Fallon and Stephen laugh] I-I do not know.

FALLON:

We can only hope what they’ll be, but…I would like another AOE for Storm, but I’m sure they’re not going to be give me one.

STEPHEN:

I was gonna say, I’d like another AOE for Death – that would be great! [Fallon and Ditto chuckle]

FALLON:

Sierra Starsong would like to know: Stephen, have you ever tried growing reagents?

STEPHEN:

Uh, well, I’ve – I haven’t actively pursued – I haven’t planted a particular plant, saying that, “Okay, I know that this plant will cough up this reagent that I need.” Now, that said, I have harvested a lot of Black Pearls from my Pink Dandelions. I have a field of Pink Dandelions, right now. So, I have grown some, and it might not be a bad idea for me to actually – more actively – pursue that. In fact, Christina Icedreamer was encouraging me to do that earlier today. I don’t remember exactly what she wanted me to grow, but she said that they would produce a Black Lotus when they were harvested. That would be great, because I’m gonna need a lot of those.

FALLON:

“Wolf Spellhammer”: Do you have a special place for getting Diamonds besides the Bazaar, or do you get them from the Bazaar?

STEPHEN:

I usually transmute them from Ore, and I have an awesome circuit that I run to get Ore, and I will not tell you where it is! [Fallon and Ditto chuckle]

FALLON:

I buy mine in the Bazaar.

STEPHEN:

They’re super-expensive!

DITTO:

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Uh…

FALLON:

Ah, yeah, see? There you go, Ditto! [laughs]

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 26

DITTO:

That’s right.

FALLON:

Yeah, I know they’re expensive – I don’t know. I guess I’m a lazy crafter? I don’t know! [Ditto chuckles] No, I would just rather stay in there and snipe them. I think the Frozen Fly Traps…give diamonds?

STEPHEN:

Oh, okay! I think I’ll plant some of those! [begins to laugh, seeing the chatroom moderators Kevin and Cassandra write confirmation messages in the hidden Show Notes as the hosts look upon it]

FALLON:

[mid-laugh] And…the Fickle Pickles!

DITTO:

Fickle Pickles!

STEPHEN:

Thank you, Kevin. Thank you, Cass! [Ditto laughs]

FALLON:

So, if you don’t want to stand in the Bazaar like I do, try the Frozen Fly Traps or the Fickle Pickles.

[A slight pause before all hosts laugh bemusedly; the live audience is oblivious to what is happening] STEPHEN:

“Awesome Blizzard”: What is your favorite Wizard101 memory?

FALLON:

Oh, wow…

DITTO:

Ooooh!

FALLON:

I have so many…

DITTO:

For me – I will go first, because I like to talk. [Fallon and Stephen chuckle] My favorite Wizard101 memory is definitely doing Big Ben. Doing the Big Ben with the A-Team, with Stephen, Leesha, and Icy[Wiz] was an awesome, awesome experience, and definitely my favorite memory, so far.

STEPHEN:

That was a lot of fun! I had a really good time doing that! Fallon, do you have any idea, yet? I think I know what mine is…

FALLON:

You can go ahead – ‘cause mine are just…

STEPHEN:

Although, I don’t know [if] mine exactly counts, because it’s sort of on the periphery of Wizard101. It is the first, live episode of Ravenwood Radio that we did.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 27

DITTO:

Ooh, good one!

STEPHEN:

I can remember being, just, so nervous, and as soon as we started recording, it was just so exciting, and there was so much energy in the Chatroom. It was just impossible not to absolutely love this. So, while it was not directly Wizard101 – it’s not defeating Malistaire or running Briskbreeze, or anything like that. I think it’s pretty strongly related to that, I think that’s certainly my favorite.

FALLON:

I think one of mine, actually, was at Fallon Moongem’s party, last year. That’s when I met everybody.

STEPHEN:

That was [chuckles] … that was a funny story. Can I tell the story?

FALLON:

[laughs] Yes, you can! [Ditto chuckles]

STEPHEN:

Okay. None of us knew Fallon at that time. She had the coolest outfit on. Myself, Leesha, and Christina – a couple of us were on Skype, and we were all just raging over Fallon’s outfit. “Gosh, what did she have on? She looks great!” So, we all approached her, and we said, “Hey, how’s it going?” and we all got her on our Friends List. So yeah, looking cool will get you anywhere. [Fallon chuckles] That’s the moral of the story [laughs with Ditto].

FALLON:

And, of course, here I was, on the other end, and I have all of you talking to me, asking me, adding me, and I was like, “What did I just do? What just happened? They must be talking about me, because all these people are asking me to be their friend!” [laughs] I had no idea! I didn’t have a clue until just about a couple of months ago when Christina told me!

STEPHEN:

Mhm!

FALLON:

Yeah, it was fun! I think that’s one of my favorites, but, also – the matches; I’ve had some epic matches with my PVP team. Between the two, I’d say that’s what mine were.

STEPHEN:

Next one is from “Kyle D.”: Do you think the Grandmother Raven would be an evil character? Dun, dun dun!

FALLON:

Hmm….

DITTO:

[excitedly] How could she be evil?? She’s a grandmother! I cannot see an evil grandmother. No! She will bake cookies.

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 28

FALLON:

That’s what I was thinking.

STEPHEN:

I sure hope you’re right.

FALLON:

We’ll go with Ditto’s theory.

STEPHEN:

I’d much rather have her be a cookie-baking grandmother.

DITTO:

Yeah, you just can’t have an evil grandmother; it just doesn’t work!

STEPHEN:

“Alexander Lionheart”: What was the hardest pet to farm, for you? Well, Fallon, I think you have probably done the most farming out of [the] three of us.

FALLON:

[chuckles] And anybody that knows me can – all my friends say that they know what it was! I’m sure Kevin’s probably in there, saying it right now…I…I can never say it… I-anthine Spectre? It’s the purple one, the purple spectre.

STEPHEN:

Ohhh! Okay, I know the one you’re talking about. Seen you with that one.

FALLON:

That gave me the hardest time. I finally got it, and I was, “UghhAhhh!” So yeah, that was the hardest.

STEPHEN:

[laughs] Oh, okay, thank you very much, Jeeves [Stephen’s personal nickname for Kevin]. Jeeves has his pronunciation guide! “Ee-an-theen.” [Ditto laughs]

FALLON:

Yeah!

DITTO:

Ah.

FALLON:

That was a hard one to say, even that way. That was my hardest pet to farm.

STEPHEN:

Next one is from “The Rearview Mirror,” which is what you should always keep an eye on while driving – watch your blind spot: What is your ideas for new, supplemental spells?

DITTO:

Hmm…

STEPHEN:

Now, this is a good question, because the three of us were all saying we think that the main schools of magic are pretty well dialed in, and really,

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 29

all that needs to be added to them are new spells; new Fire spells, new Balance spells, etc.! But, the supplementary schools, like the Astral schools that were introduced in Celestia, were pulled off nicely, and have really woven into the game a fashion that’s really added to it. So, new supplemental spells… FALLON:

Hmm…

DITTO:

Hmm…that is good one!

FALLON:

I can’t even think of one, right now, no. [chuckles] You’ve stumped us!

STEPHEN:

You know what, there was a post that I read, and this was a forum post that I read on Central when people were speculating about new schools of magic – the guy didn’t really even come up with any real solid specifics on exactly what they would do – but it sounded like such a cool idea for supplementary schools that I held onto it in the back of my mind, and that was having schools of Order and Chaos.

DITTO:

Ooh!

STEPHEN:

I don’t know how that would work, but it sure sounds neat!

DITTO:

Yeah, it does sound kind of neat. I was thinking it would be neat to have a shield that was kind of like a mirror. Like, instead of protecting you from damage, it bounces the damage back.

FALLON:

Hm…that would be cool!

DITTO:

So like somebody hits you with lightning bolt, and all of a sudden, lightning bolts them back!

FALLON:

Hmm…

STEPHEN:

Boy, that would be really wicked!

DITTO:

Yeah!

FALLON:

I like that idea!

STEPHEN:

I do, too! I wanna have that Treasure Card. I wanna have a lot of them! [Ditto chuckles]

FALLON:

Well, I’m out of ideas! I can’t come up with one! [chuckles]

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 30

STEPHEN:

Yeah, you got us!

FALLON:

I mean, I like Ditto’s; that was really good!

STEPHEN:

I like that idea for the spell, too, that’s pretty cool!

DITTO:

Well, thank you!

FALLON:

Next, “SirWinterbreeze”: What would you think about a trivia game with two KingsIsle employees versus two fans, and who would win?

DITTO:

I think that depends on who the employees are, and who the fans are!

STEPHEN:

Right!

FALLON:

That’s what I was gonna say…

STEPHEN:

That’s what I was gonna say…like, if that was the cleaning people—

DITTO:

Yeah, exactly—

STEPHEN:

I think we’ll have a good shot!

DITTO:

Yeah, it’s like you two against the guys that clean the desks or something…I don’t know, I think—

STEPHEN:

If we’re talking about two writers for the game, though, I don’t know that we have a pair of fans that could match them.

FALLON:

That would be an interesting game, though!

DITTO:

It would be, yeah! And it depends on how they work, because maybe they have a couple of writers that focus on, like, just Mooshu, and if it’s general trivia, then somebody might know more about Dragonspyre and the Krokotpia, so, you could have an edge there!

STEPHEN:

That’s a great point!

FALLON:

Yeah!

STEPHEN:

Next one is from “Nesogra,” and it’s for DITTO: What is your favorite deck in Magic the Gathering?

DITTO:

Oooh! That is a good question! To be fair, I have not played the Magic the Gathering in awhile, but my favorite deck of all-time was a deck that I

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 31

had put together for some tournament-y play – I called it “Four Horsemen.” It was a White/Black deck based on Pestilence and Plague Rats. It was a really cool direct-damage type deck. It was a lot of fun to play. FALLON:

“Jack Icecaster” has a question for you, Ditto. What is your favorite meal?

DITTO:

Uh, that would be the one that is in front of me! [Fallon and Stephen chuckle]

FALLON:

Great answer!

DITTO:

Whichever is closest to me, that is my favorite! Anything Miss Narrator cooks is just my favorit-est meal!

STEPHEN:

Next one we’ve got is from “Ben Frogstone”: What would you like to see for a level 58 pet?

FALLON:

We kinda discussed this—

STEPHEN:

I was gonna say, we kinda batted this around last night – the three of us did. I liked the idea of a baby Skeletal Dragon

DITTO:

Yes.

STEPHEN:

I think it’d be all cute.

DITTO:

That’d be very cool. There’s already the Helephant pet existing for the Fire, so I’m not sure…maybe the Efreet, the high level spell for the Fire, would be cool. It would be very different from any pet that is out there – it would be distinct. If you just do the Dragon, a lot of people have the Dragon, so I would like something that is kind of neat and different from what is out there now.

FALLON:

Mhm. I’d like to see the Leviathan.

DITTO:

Ohh, so cool!

STEPHEN:

That’d be real cool…

DITTO:

Wouldn’t you say it’d be in a fish bowl? That’d be kind of funny…

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 32

FALLON:

We could put him in a fish bowl, peeking out! Good idea! They did post something on that, and I’m wondering now if that’s why, on the Wizard101 forum, they had asked if you could have a pet from your school, what would it be? I liked the idea of the Draconian, as well.

DITTO:

Yeah, definitely.

STEPHEN:

And the last one we’ve got for today, for Ditto, also from Sierra Starsong – okay, Sierra, you’re cut off, that’s enough questions today: Any plans for a video podcast?

DITTO:

Oh, that is a very good question! I’m not sure if that means like a live video podcast – I do video every often, already, on http://dittomonster.com; I have 163 videos currently available on my YouTube channel, so, yeah, I could a couple a week, at least. Video podcast…I don’t know if – that’s kind of like my weekly video bloggy thingy. Um, unless she’s talking about a live video podcast, then no. I don’t have plans, because I’m not sure how I would even do that! But it is a very good question!

STEPHEN:

Thanks, everyone, for the emails, Twitter, and Chatroom Questions – we tried to get to as many as we could, today. You could always email us those questions to [email protected], or on show days, usually we try to do it a day before, you could shoot those questions to @kevbattleblood or @cassdragonheart. We have some contest prizes to give away!

DITTO:

Yay!

FALLON:

Yep! The first prize goes to Alric Sandcaller. We asked last week, “If you could forge any – or stitch, as we call it also – if you could stitch any wand, what would it be?” Alric Sandcaller said, “If I could morph any wand with another, I would definitely morph the Lifeforce Blade with any of the Level 45 blades.” Congratulations, you’ve received a Summer Dragon!

DITTO:

Cool!

STEPHEN:

Our next winner is Anthony Shadowdreamer! Anthony would pick the design of the Valor Sword – and, I can’t blame ya; that is one of the

Ravenwood Radio 36 – Page 33

coolest wands in the game! Anthony will take home a Storm Snowman and a Mega Snack Pack! DITTO:

Oh, nice!

FALLON:

Yeah, definitely! The last winner, Benjamin Shadowvault! “If I could stitch a wand, I would probably choose the Galvanic Blade for the appearance.” Congratulations to you; you are taking home 2,500 Crowns!

STEPHEN:

We actually had to look up a picture of that one, but the Galvanic Blade is pretty neat looking.

FALLON:

Mhm; yeah, I like that one.

STEPHEN:

Now, we aren’t running a contest this week, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a contest that you can win!

FALLON:

Petnome Project is doing their second contest, “Pet Design.” You can find more information at http://petnome.pbworks.com, and your last day to register is this Saturday, so check that out! They always give some very good prizes!

STEPHEN:

We are still working on our in-game event, in which we’ll end up giving away a pretty good stack of stuff – a sizable bag full of goodies, and we will have more information about that coming soon! There’s also a little tiny something that…well, right now, the only person I’ve talked about it to is Christina and Fallon, but if we can pull it off, it’ll be the greatest thing! But, I think we are ready to wrap up the show, but before we do… Ditto, thank you so much for coming on!

DITTO:

Oh! It was my pleasure! I had a lot of fun! I hope everybody enjoyed it.

FALLON:

Yeah!

STEPHEN:

I know that everyone did! And I’d really like it if you would come back before too long, and hang out with us!

DITTO:

Ah, I think that would be very fun, yes!

FALLON:

One other thing, Ditto…

DITTO:

Yes?

FALLON:

It’s my understanding our favorite Fabricated American has a birthday this weekend.

DITTO:

Uh…

STEPHEN:

Get…out…

DITTO:

That is…that is probably correct…I think you are reading the calendar correctly, yes.

FALLON:

Sunday, March 20th – so, don’t forget Ditto’s birthday!

DITTO:

That is correct, that would be my birthday.

STEPHEN:

Happy birthday! Are you guys doing anything special?

DITTO:

I’m hoping Miss Narrator is baking a cake or two! [Fallon chuckles]

STEPHEN:

You should see if you could talk to her into making that Bailey’s Cheesecake.

DITTO:

Ahhhww!

STEPHEN:

That sounds really good!

DITTO:

I think she has something special planned for me, so, I’m sure it is going to be wonderful!

FALLON:

Aww!

[Audio scratches heavily, revving in a crescendo] STEPHEN:

Hey, this is Stephen Spiritcaller in what I can only imagine to be the work of the darkest, most evil of wizards! Our recorded material from about here on was completely destroyed! And I couldn’t recover it… So, permit me to wrap up with the business end of the show!
