GREAT DEAL!!! By Michael Johnson For some un foreseen reason one of these reviewers on here gave 4-stars on this item, even though he/she gave it a 5-star review! Irresponsible. Anyhoots...this is the set up for you! The thermostat on my dryer completely burnt up so I had to replace it. The wire also had burned, so it was GREAT that this kit came with a spare wire! I didn't need to go to the hardware or electrical supply and buy a new wire and crimp new connectors on...it was already done for me! That said, this kit not only comes with the thermostat, but also a fuse, and a few other components for the dryer that will likely come in handy one day if anything else goes wrong! Great deal for what you get! They even give 2-extra spade connectors and two screws in case you lose the originals. I hope this review brings the rating for this item back up to an average of 5-stars instead of 4. Look, if you buy it, it ships out fast, you put it in, and it works...THAT'S 5-STARS!!!! fuses too. I purchase this thermostat fuse kit along with a heating element (Napco 279838) for my not-so-mechanical brother in law (sister's husband) to install on their long suffering dryer. He reported that the replacement was fairly straight forward and their dryer has worked like a champ for over a year now. By Mark Twain this is the kit you want. there is another kit sold on amazon for 18bucks that only comes with 2 things. This kit has them all! and the best part is, this kit comes with a replacement stat that has a connector on the bottom so that you dont need to mangle your original orange wire, it is literally plug and play. a lot of youtube vids show install instructions where you have to crimp new wires etc, well I did not want to tom-fool with that. I recognized my dryer had the same stat that has a golden piece sticking out and replaced it with that one. Obviously if your dryer doesnt have a bottom stat with the golden piece sticking out then obviously dont use it, but mine did, so I did use it. Easy as pie. and now my clothes are DRY! DRY! DRY!
