STRYNADKA/BRADY READING ROOM RULES The Reading Room is open to all individuals, but only the following individuals may sign out materials (in order to take out materials, a valid I.D card must be shown): ● Enrolled in a for-credit Native Studies course or a Native Studies degree program. ● Native Studies alumni. ● Faculty of Native Studies staff. The following are a set of rules guiding both the Reading Room and its patrons 1. Materials may be signed out of the Reading Room by alumni and students for a period of two weeks, with a maximum of four items out at a time. a. The individual who signs out an material remains solely responsible for its return and all fine that may accumulate. b. A fine of $1.00/item/day will be levied on all overdue material for all patrons (including students,alumni,and staff) . i. Weekends and holidays will not be included in the assessment of the fine. ii. Individuals who lose/do not return items are required to pay for the purchase of a replacement copy, all service fees associated with the purchase, and all overdue fines accrued. c. Students who have fines may not sign out materials until the fine(s) is cleared. d. A financial encumbrance will be placed on all students who have unpaid fines, have lost books, or have unreturned overdue items. 2. Materials may be signed out of the Reading Room by honors students for a period of 6 weeks, with a maximum of four items out at a time. 3. Materials may be renewed in person or by e-mailing
[email protected]. a. Materials in short supply (e.g., only one copy or requested by patron) can only be renewed once. Materials in ample supply may only be renewed multiple times (subject to the discreation of the Reading Room Coordinator).. 4. Materials marked as ‘Non-Circulating’ are to remain in the Reading Room and are not available for borrowing.
