This is the first reimbursement check BLIS has delivered under the recently announced program ‘BLIS Patient Finance Data Exchange’ (BLIS DX). BLIS DX is a program offered to active members of the BLIS Surgeons Association (BSA), which is a part of the BLIS Foundation, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help improve quality of care and increase access to surgery. Dr. Patterson received this check, in the amount of $735.00, for her participation in the BLIS DX program. Under the program, Dr. Patterson became eligible for reimbursement of the fee she incurred when one of her patients was able to secure a loan to pay for bariatric surgery from Springstone under the BLIS Springstone Patient Financing program. The BLIS DX program is complimentary for active members of the BSA which seeks to promote various benefits uniquely available to the BLIS surgeon and to encourage these surgeons to take advantage of the BLISCare complication protection plan for the benefit of their patients.
