World History: “Renaissance Man” Report Presentation: Using PowerPoint, create a slide show presentation about a person of the Renaissance. Your presentation should cover the lifetime of your person. Structure it as a timeline of the person’s life. Be sure to emphasize the highlights of that person. PowerPoint Requirements: Slide show has no less than 6 information slides highlighting the importance of your person A title slide is included with your name. A minimum of 3 references are used. (“www.google.com” and “Mr. D’s Notes” will not count as a reference, avoid using www.wikipedia.org as well) Final slide is a list of references and websites used (Site picture and text sources). Pictures and other graphics are used. Slide content is appropriate. Slides containing only pictures will not count in the overall requirement of 6 slides. Be creative Essay Requirements: In addition to the presentation, you will also turn in a three paragraph (minimum) essay detailing the historical significance of your person. You must include at least one quote from your person (primary source) and at least one quote about your person (secondary source). The quotes used should be relevant to the point you are making and not completely random. The source of your quotes should be included at the end of your essay using MLA format. What you turn in: 1. Data copy of the PowerPoint (no less than 6 information slides) 2. Printed copy of Essay (no less than three paragraphs) You must submit to me a data copy of your PowerPoint. This can be done by e-mailing the project to me, using a flash drive to put it on my computer, or placing it in your user space and allowing me to retrieve it using Backpack. You will also be required to give a presentation to the class using your slide show as a reference. Failure to turn in the assignment on time will result in a 10 point penalty for each day late.
