Subject: ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES

After careful review of the ACC organizational structure subsequent to Dr. Mary Hensley’s departure and to better align departments and responsibilities, I have decided not to do an external search for a replacement. I have reviewed the duties, responsibilities and organizational units that previously reported to Dr. Hensley and Dr. Ben Ferrell and have realigned these functions between Dr. Ferrell and Mr. Neil Vickers. Mr. Vickers will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Finance & Administration and Dr. Ferrell will assume the position of Executive Vice President of Campus Planning and Operations. In addition, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Accountability will report to Mr. Vickers. The tasks of planning, development and evaluation, previously split between academic and student services/administrative processes, will now be coordinated and consolidated under the leadership of Dr. Mary Harris who will assume the role of Vice President for Institutional Planning, Development and Evaluation. Dr. Harris will continue to report to Dr. Charles Cook, Provost/EVP for Academic Affairs. Attached is an updated organization chart for your information.
