pursuant to the recommendationof 7th CPC and acceptanceof the same by the Government,the Track Maintainers IV, III, II & I have been granted Risk and Hardship Allowanceat Rs. 27001-per monthwith effectfrom July 1,2017. In this connection,NFIR brings to Railway Board's notice that Black Smiths and Welders under SSE/P. Way along with their team membersalso work on P. Way Tracks regularly.They perform dutiessuchas welding tracks,cutting,drilling, jointing rails etc.,(using of tracks.Thejobs being doneby them are . Gascutiers),in the processof laying andmaintenance also RiskyandHardihips prone as they also work on perrnanentway Tracks physically.The VII CPC has unfortunatelyfaiteOto considerthe role of thesestaff and equally the Railway Board has failed to recommendtheir case to the Committee on Allowances headed by Finance Secretary,Governmentof India therebythey aredeprivedof Risk and HardshipAllowance. NFIR, therefore,requeststhe Railway Board to considerthe genuinegrievanceof Black Smiths, Welders and associatedstaff of SSE (P. Way) and processthe case for according sanctionfor paymentof Risk and HardshipAllowance at Rs. 27001-per month duly covering themunderRisk and HardshipMatrix (cell R3H2). Yours faithfullv.
