RULES OF THE HUNT 1) The first rule of the hunt is you do not lose your score sheet 2) The second rule of the hunt is you DO NOT lose your score sheet 3) At the start of the competition you will be given a score sheet containing a unique Identification number and a three digit alphanumeric pin. Take care of this PIN and keep this fully confidential. You will be asked to tell the identification number as well as the PIN when you call the headquarters for a hint. If you lose your score sheet, accidentally or intentionally, your team will be disqualified (Note: Beware of thieves) 4) Each team has to go to 8 locations and perform certain tasks at each and every one of them in order to find the treasure. Scoring: 1) 50 points will be awarded to a team when it reaches the correct location and gets the signature of the guardian of the area. 2) 30 extra points will be awarded to a team at each location if it successfully manages to complete the task that the guardian of that location has given to them 3) The penalty that will be levied for a hint(aka the hint-penalty rate) will increase linearly with the number of hints that you take. 4) The penalty that will be levied for finding out the answer will be equal to twice the current hint penalty rate for the team Here is a hypothetical example of a team(lets say Team Number 69) who had to take hints at Question 3,5 and 6 and also were unable to figure out the answer of Question 5(even though they had got a pretty easy hint from the headquarters) So, the total penalty that will be levied on them will be 10(For Hint-3)+12(For Hint-5)+24(For Answer-5)+14(For Hint-6) 5) Each team will be awarded a time bonus of 2*(180-t) points where t is the time taken(in minutes) to complete the whole hunt. If you end up taking more than 3 hours to complete the hunt, then no more bonus points will be given Post Script: 1) Do not cheat.
