Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity Boston Alumnae Chapter Announces Joan Reddy Memorial Scholarship ($500) Eligibility 1. Applicants must be initiated members of Eta Mu or Lambda Phi chapters. 2. They must be in good financial standing with the chapter, and current with national and local dues. 3. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 overall. 4. Applicants must be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduate student for the Spring 2017 semester. 5. Scholarship must be applied toward the following semester’s tuition and will be sent directly to the school. Submission Process Please submit the following: 1. A CD, DVD, or flash drive of the applicant performing two works of her choice, one of which must be American Music (accompaniment is optional). 2. A letter of recommendation on official letterhead from a music faculty member, in a sealed envelope with the faculty member’s signature over the sealed flap. The faculty member should include his or her contact information. 3. A current official transcript in a sealed envelope. 4. A completed signed application form. 5. A 500 word essay typed on an attached sheet. Incomplete or missing materials may result in disqualification Please note that the BAC Scholarship Committee has the right not to award a scholarship if no applicant is judged to be qualified in any given year. The above materials should be postmarked no later than December 1, 2016. Announcement of Winner The winner will be announced on December 15, 2016 via email. [email protected]. Winner’s Performance The winner is required to perform in a BAC musicale (preferred) or their chapter’s open musicale. A copy of the program must be sent to the BAC Scholarship Committee Chairman.
