The DPL organized a Samman Samaroh for Editors of Magazines in Indian Languages The DPL organized a Samman Samaroh for Editors of Magazines in Sanskrit, Punjabi and Urdu for the year 2017. Today, on this occasion at Amir Khusro Auditorium, Delhi Public Library, S.P. Mukherjee Marg, opposite Old Delhi Railway Station, Delhi, awards were given by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Govt. of India. On this occasion, Dr. Rajnarayan Shukla, Executive Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Bhasha Sansthan, Uttar Pradesh Govt., Lucknow was the Special Guest and Prof. Balvant Jani, Chancellor, Sagar University, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh presided over the function. For the year 2017, first prize in Sanskrit was given to Dr. Rama Kant Shukla, Editor of ‘Arvacheensanskritam’ magazine and second prize to Smt Manju Sharma, Editor of Sanskrit News magazine ‘Sanskrit Samvad’. First prize in Urdu to Mr Iftekhar Imam Siddiqui, Editor of Urdu's monthly magazine ‘Shire’ and second prize to Mr. Aadil Raza Mansoori, Editor of ‘Istipasar’ magazine. First prize in Punjabi to Dr. Sushil Dosanjh, Editor of Punjabi magazine ‘Hun’ and second prize to Dr. Guriqbal Singh, the Editor of Trishanku magazine. The Cheques of first prize of Rupees one Lakh and second prize of Rupees Seventy Five Thousands with citations, shawls etc. were presented to the awardees by the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Minister of Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma Ji in the presence of august gathering.
