Savage Stone Age Areas of learning As Historians we will be able to place this period of time on a timeline. We will understand the importance of Stone Age inventions and understand how the introduction of farming changed Stone Age life. We will look at life on Skara Brae. As Scientists we will look like at how people and animals have adapted to their surroundings. We will compare and group rocks and describe the formation of fossils. As Artists we will look at early cave paintings and create our own telling a story. As Designers we will create clay pots. As Computing Users we will use a desktop publishing programme to create an information leaflet about this period in time. As Citizens (SMSC), we will reflect on, consider and celebrate the wonders and mysteries of life as it evolves. We will listen and respond appropriately to the views of others when working as part of a team and gain the confidence to cope with setbacks and learn from our mistakes. We will work collaboratively and understand the culture of past civilizations and how life was different.
