In summer 2012, eight individuals will take their first steps toward becoming

the industry’s next top software developers. Introducing RoleModel Software Craftsmanship Academy, a 1.5 year program lead by a master software craftsman to impart the knowledge, skills, and experience you need for a successful future in the software industry.

Apply to the Academy Our application will assess your basic computer skills and ability to build a simple website. Only qualified individuals will be considered.

Learn: Test-driven development Object-oriented thinking

Immersion Training The Academy begins with 6 intense months of training under master craftsman and experienced mentor, Ken Auer. After 3 months of basic training, you will work as an apprentice on a real project.

Paid Internship

Those that successfully complete their training will transition to a one year paid internship with one of several leading custom software shops.

Certified Journeyman At the end of your internship you will be tested to certify your status as a journeyman: one who has succesfully completed their apprenticeship and is ready to begin making their way as a professional. You may continue your employment at the company with which you interned or apply elsewhere. The experience and skills you gain will put you miles ahead of mere university graduates.
