Project Work - Due date Monday 12th October 2015 Science - ‘Electricity’
As you are certainly aware, we value research, and the skills involved, very much in Year 6. So, this week we are asking you to do some serious research on a famous scientist involved in the development of electricity, or a by-product of electricity. This extended task will take you right to the last week of half term and will then be presented to your class as an oral, or spoken, presentation. Your peers will then judge your presentation and give you feedback on the positive and negative aspects; so you will need plenty of preparation! This task is over two weeks, so we are expecting an excellent presentation, which will need to be between 4 and 5 minutes in length and not simply read from the board. You will also need to go beyond with your research as people will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end. Remember, do not cut and paste! Use the following information to help you with this project: Dates and places When and where did births, marriages and death take place?
Personal Life What were the important events in theirpersonal life? - Did they get married? - Did they have children? - Were they friends with any other famous scientists?
