Sub: Modification to the mode of recruitment for appointment to the posts of Technical Assistants / Service Personnel in UAS, Dharwad. Ref: 1. This Office Notification No.R/Rectt/B-29(E)12016, dated 17.3.2016. 2. GOK Notification No.DPAR 1 12 SCR 2013, dated 31.12.2015 . 3. Resolution in the25th meeting of the Coordination Committee held on 8.3.2017. 4. Resolution in the24th meeting of the Academic council, u{s, Dharwad, held on 20.6.2017 . 5. Approval of the Vice-Chancellor, UAS, Dharwad.
In partial modification of this Office Notification cited at ref.(l) and in pursuattce to the GOK Notification and resolutions in the meetings of the Cobrdination Committee and Academic Council referred above, the mode of recruitment to the posts of Technical Assistant I Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) / Farm Manager I Programme Assistant (Computer) is modified as put up in the Annexure with immediate effect. These modifications shall also be applicable to the ongoing recruitments.
The mode of recruitment to the posts other than those covered in the Annexure
will
be prescribed separately.

General Guidelines

Eligible applicants fulfilling the minimum requirements for the respective posts shall only be called for aptitude test /examination. The call letter in this regard shall be dispatched it least 8 days prior to the examination apart from displaying the dates in the Official Websites. The said examination shall be conducted using OMR sheets, wherever possible. The key answers shall be uploaded to the website after the examination is conducted. dulv providing a week's time for raising objections, if any, via e-mail. There shall be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The results of the examinations shall be displayed in the website within a reasonable time.

Based on the marks scored in the competitive examination, candidates shall be called for verification of originals in the ratio of l:5 for each post based on the roster. Only those applicants who score at least 60% of the total marks in examination / aptitude test shall be eligible for selection. In case of SC/ST applicants, a relaxation'of 5 marks is
provided.
8. Selection of candidates shall be solely based on the marks scored by the candidates in the Competitive Examination / Aptitude Test. In case, two or more candidates secure equal marks in the competitive examination, the order of,merit of such candidates shall be fixed on the basis of their age, the person older in age being placed higher in the order of merit.
