SEARCH FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (DDRMP) BEST IMPLEMENTER 1. The Schools Division Office - Quezon City Gawad Parangal is a division project that aims to implement Civil Service Commission's Program and Awards and Incentives for Service of Excellence (PRAISE) . This project will recognize exemplary performance of teachers, instructional leaders, and non-teaching personnel who brought honor to their place of work to the school , to the district, to the division, to the nation as a whole. 2. The search aims to bestow distinct honor and recognition to the best implementer of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Program (DRRMP) who keeps the safety of the people in their workplace. 3. Enclosed are the criteria, guidelines, rubrics and validation tools for the Search. 4. All schools who have met the criteria/requirements are highly encouraged to participate in the Search . 5. Below are the steps to be taken with their corresponding deadline:

RULES AND MECHANICS SEARCH FOR DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (DRRMP) BEST IMPLEMENTER WHAT IS THIS AWARD? There are three {3) awards to be given away. The Final Screening and Selection Committee may choose not to give an award if the candidate/s fall short of the standards set by the Committee. The committee may also revoke an award given should the winner be found to have committed falsification of documents submitted during the search period.

I. WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN? 1. Schools who have a DRRMP room. 2. Schools who conducts/participates in DRRM drills. II. WHO ARE NOT QUALIFIED? 1. Schools who previously won the Gawad KALASAG (SHIELD) for three (3) consecutive years in the same category and have received the Hall of Fame Award. 2. Schools awardees/nominees in the Regional and National level are exempted to join the search. Ill. WHO CAN NOMINATE? District Supervisors/Education Program Supervisors/Stakeholders {PTA Officers!Teachers in the present station) as well as the School Heads are authorized to nominate the school to the Search. There shall be three stages for this Search with the following percentages: Stage 1 - Document Ana!ysis (20%} The Document Analysis shall include all supporting documents (e.g. pictures/narrative report/s, certification from infrastructure department that you have the facilities) submitted to the Search Committee in which the School Heads!DRRMP Coordinator has prepared that shows that they are qualified to be a nominee for tho Search. The Committee will grade the supporting data using some specific criteria (see enclosure).



Stage 2 -Interview (20%) The Interview shall gauge the nominee's ability to answer questions relevant to the award category. Some rubrics on assessing interview responses will be used for this purpose {see enclosure).



Stage 3- Validation (60%) A validation tool will be provided to the screening and selection committee to check in the school if the Supporting Documents submitted by the School Heads/DRRMP Coordinator is still on its good condition and/or existing (see enclosurn).

V. WHAT ARE THE STEPS IN THE SEARCH PROCESS? 1. Nomination a. The nominator accomplishes the nomination

The school nominee prepares ali documents following the criteria on Document analysis and have these certified by the Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) in-charge of the school-nominee's district. c. The documents are submitted to the Secretariat of the Screening and Selection Committee. 2. Evaluation of the nomination forms and supporting documents by the Secretariat. a. The nominator accomplishes the nomination forms and determines if he documents submitted are complete. b. The Secretariat submits the nomination forms and supporting documents to the Screening and Selection Committee (SSC). 3. Evaluation of the nomination forms and peninent documents, and preliminary judging by the Screening and Selection Committee (SSC}. a. The PSSC conducts tha pre:irninary judging of the Search based in Documents Analysis only. b. The minimum raw score in 01)Cllments Analysis is 50 points to qualify to the next level of the Search. c. The PSSC prepares the short list of preliminary winners for submission to the Final Screening and Selection Committee (FSSC). 4. Final judging by the Final Screening and Selection Committee (FSSC) a. The FSSC conducts the final judging upon receipt of the results of the preliminary judging by the PSSC on Documents Analysis. b. The FSSC conducts the Interview and Validation to determine the winners. VI. WHAT IS THE COMPOSITION OF THE PSSC AND FSSC? The Preliminary Screening Selectior.
