SECOND BATCH OF PARTICIPANTS FOR THE CHA..CHING FINANCIAL LITERACY FOR THE YOUTH PROGRAM 1. Attached is a letter from MS. KRISHNA C. ALEJANDRO, MSC, ChBA, Executive Director, Junior Achievement Philippines re: "Second Batch of Participants for the Cha-Ching Financial literacy for the Youth Program" to be held on August 29, 2017, l:OQ-5:00 p.m. at the Robotics Room, Quezon City Science Interactive Center. 2. School principals from CD f-Ill are highly encouraged to send two (2) grade IV teachers to attend this FREE training. Meals, teachers and students kits, and other school items shall be given by the organizers at no cost to the schools. 3. Please be reminded of the no-disruption of classes policy stipulated in DepED Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled: "Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-On-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith." Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

Greetings from Junior Achievement Philippines! Junior Achievement (JA) is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. In 2016, we partnered with Pru Life UK, one of the leading life insurers in the Philippines, for the implementation of its regional charitable arm Prudence Foundation's Cha-Ching financial literacy for the Youth Program in the country. Launched in 2011, Cha-ching is the first multi-country, multi-platform program that aims to help parents in Asia teach financial literacy to children aged seven to 12. The Philippines became the firstto integrate Cha-Ching in the curriwla

of grades two and three following the signing of a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Education in 2012. To date, Cha-Ching hits a milestone as it marks a total reach of 96,000 students in 47 public schools and 29 private educational institutions nationwide.

Cha-ching School Contact Program. Cha-Ching offers a school contact program wherein Pru Life UK and JA Philippines ..conduct teacher trainings and provide teacher kits and students kits that contain cartoon mustcaT edutainment episoaes in DVD plus work books and other school items -all at no cost to the school. This is anopportUnlty fut par Lllet ship tliat our company would hke to explore with your school. As additional reference, we have attached to this letter a more detailed description of Cha-chlng and its activities, including partnerships and events in schools, such as the Cha-ching World Tour, contests for students and teachers, and financial literacy conferences, among many others.

We are looking at br-inging the program to more schools across the Philippines. In this light, we would like to request for if we can have th~d batch of training for all schools (Two (2) representatives from the grade 4 department) under District 1-3 on August J.~, 2017.
