The recent ADOT meeting about closure of San Manuel DMV office was attended by about 200 residents. We were informed that starting soon MVD office in SM will be open 2 days a week. In 2017 the office may be closed and a kiosk installed somewhere in SM. Residents expressed their concerns about impact on poor in Oracle, SM and Mammoth who do not have access to computers or smart phones or even cell coverage. We will all have to use the kiosk(only about 40% of transactions can be done at the kiosk) or drive to Ina and Shannon. Decision has been made. Sup. Rios suggested contacting the Governor’s office. Oracle Schools Foundation Gala to be held Nov. 5, 2016. Monies raised will be used to support a pre-K program for qualified students whose parents cannot afford tuition. Verizon Transformers at fire station in Preserve are on hold because of concerns from RCI about when towers (look like saguaros) will be built. All permits have been obtained. Transition at HOA#2 has been postponed with no alternative date. HOA#2 is pushing for June. MV

golf course is now in play. HOA#2 has first right of refusal. Committee has been formed to address the issue. Approval/disapproval of the acquisition will require a vote of the residents. If sold to HOA#2 it will not have to be platted. If sold to a third party it will need to be platted. Other items on agenda postponed to November meeting. Meeting adjourned at 3:39 pm. Respectfully submitted Barbara Hynes
