A bill to amend the SGA Constitution to clarify the rules regarding the Judicial Branch

Whereas, the Student Senate has the right to amend the SGA Constitution, Be it hereby resolved, the Student Senate amends Article VIII, Section 3, adding a subsection e, to read: “e. The term of a Justice shall be limited to be no longer than the length of that Justice’s enrollment at the University of Tennessee.”

Be it hereby resolved, the Student Senate amends Article VIII, Section 5, adding a subsection g and h, to read: “g. To immediately notify, outside of election week, the Student Body President, Vice President, Student Services Director and the Graduate Student Senate President when a hearing is scheduled, who are then responsible to notify their respective branches in a timely manner.” “h. To compile a list of cases brought during election week and to notify in a timely manner the Student Body President, Vice President, Student Services Director and the Graduate Student Senate President of this list after the conclusion of election week, who are then responsible to notify their respective branches in a timely manner.”
