PHI is seeking a full time Senior PeopleSoft Engineer Human Capital Management. This position is located in Oakland, CA. Reporting directly to the IT Director the Senior PeopleSoft Engineer Human Capital Management acts as technical lead, and retains responsibility for the operation and maintenance of PHIs PeopleSoft ERP System. Serves as senior subject matter expert associated with Human Capital Management content, processes and procedures, related to PHIs PeopleSoft system. Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages the functions and procedures involved in the implementation and maintenance of all PeopleSoft modules Consults with end users and facilitates planning, application, and functional design sessions with stakeholders from internal departments to reach consensus on system needs and requirements Analyzes requirements and findings to develop end-to-end solutions Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents in PeopleSoft platform and provides integration to external applications and systems. Collaborates with Information Systems staff and the various user departments to test, train, and gain user acceptance of all PeopleSoft modules across departments and functions Leads the production support effort in tracking, developing, testing and implementing the short-term & long-term solution to all PeopleSoft issues Identifies data issues and collaborates with functional teams to mitigate risks by proposing data rationalization and clean-up strategies Follows PHIs project management, SDLC, change management procedures to ensure successful implementation of projects while maintaining all aspects of documentation Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new developments to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards Develops and maintains various business reports on an ongoing basis, as required Performs related duties, as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or 4 years of equivalent experience
A minimum of 7 years of PeopleSoft implementation and support experience, with at least 3 years of implementing and/or supporting 9.x versions. (newer versions preferred) Some experience with PeopleSoft Human Capital Management modules (Core HR, Benefits Admin, North American Payroll, Absence Mgmt., Time & Labor, Portal, Self Service Manager and Employee, Recruiting, e-performance and e-Compensation. Integration experience of PeopleSoft HCM Time and Labor into Financials/Project Costing) People Tools 8.4x or higher, People Code, Application Engine, Portal, Security administration, Application Designer, Component Interface, Integration Broker, Application messaging, nVision, PS Query, Crystal Reports and SQR, including responsibility for development of modifications and interface Prior experience in upgrades and implementation projects is a plus Individual should have worked in PeopleSoft / Microsoft SQL Server environment before and possess knowledge in SQL server coding, TSQL, relational database query optimization and tuning techniques, stored procedures, views as it applies to PeopleSoft implementation Well versed with coding techniques, knowledge in Object oriented programming, code review, build & release, move to production procedures in a n-tier web development and client-server environment Familiarity and work experience with fundamentals of project management, time and budget scheduling and resource allocation; formal change management procedures Troubleshooting and problem solving experience in PeopleSoft production environment Ability to document business process flows, re-engineer processes for optimized work flow as it applies to PeopleSoft Ability to interact with business users and management staff, I.T. operations group and others to collect/convey requirements, write functional specifications and create use cases/user acceptance test plans and conduct system, parallel, integration testing and end-user trainings Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial (FSCM) modules (Grants, Project Costing, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Expenses, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Management and Commitment Control) is a great plus Knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition platform (OBIEE) with PeopleSoft is a plus Must be willing to work outside regular business hours as required by implementation of special projects, and emergencies
