Upcoming Events

Special Collection for Louisiana Flood Response The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called for an emergency collection to support the humanitarian efforts of Catholic Charities and to provide pastoral and rebuilding support to impacted Catholic dioceses. Everyone is encouraged to join the Church in being a visible witness to the healing presence of Jesus alive in the world through this collection. Sept 17 & 18.

Baby Bottle Drive Birth Choice of San Marcos will be having a Baby Bottle Drive on Saturday, Sept 17 & Sunday, Sept 18. Pick up a baby bottle and return it in 2 weeks filled with spare change, cash or checks. As a church community you will be saving the life of an unborn child. Four bottles filled with donations help fund one ultrasound for a mom who is facing an unplanned pregnancy. In addition to raising awareness for choosing life, Baby Bottle Drives are a valuable fund raiser to help support our New Mobile Clinic and Care Center efforts. Please stop the information tables outside after Mass and pick up a baby bottle. God Bless!

Brother Benno’s ~ help feed the poor St. Mark’s has a small group of volunteers that meet every 4th Tuesday of every month to feed those in need at Brother Benno’s Center in Oceanside. We are in great need of some extra hands in order to continue this ministry. If interested, please call or text Beverly at 760-419-6782 or leave your contact information at the parish office.

INVITED The Good News is that we have all been invited—invited to the Kingdom, invited to be disciples. It’s a life-changing invitation, and like so many other such invitations, it requires a great deal of deliberation and discernment. Whether we choose marriage, ordination, single life, or community life, we know the serious planning and consideration that accompany these profound decisions. Like the tower-builder in the Gospel, we have weighed both the monetary and emotional cost. We have pondered and planned our lives in the direction to which we believe God has called us. And while we pray for guidance and acceptance of God’s will, we often fail to understand so much. Like Solomon, we turn to God for wisdom and counsel in our life-changing decisions.

Bienvenidos a clases.
