Participating in data management planning workshops of projects. Developing and updating website templates for projects, units and hubs/stations. Reviewing data management plans of proposals (or existing projects). Implement websites for projects based on the project data mgt. plan and the information architecture concept. To take over SP deployment project management Designing standard workflows: o sketching /documenting UML diagrams for SOP workflows. o sketching /documenting UML diagrams for project workflows. o assessing workflow efficiency resp. potentials of more effective and efficient data management. Monitoring and reporting on the data security in SharePoint. Keeping close contact with IITA network administrator. Design and conduct SharePoint trainings for staff members.
Educational Qualifications The candidate should have a graduate degree in Computer Science or related field. Core Competencies 2-4 years of experience in SharePoint farm administration, holding a Microsoft SharePoint solution expert certificate. Experience in designing customized SharePoint websites and workflows according to standard operations. Good programming skills in asp/C#, html, css, javascript, jquery, and visual studio. Proven ability to fixpatch connectivity, authentication and performance issues. Understanding of principles of and best practices in (research) data management and how to implement them in SharePoint. Project Management experience.
Team worker: willing to share information with colleagues and users, flexible, respectful, friendly and open in cooperation, ready to seek compromise solutions. Ability to communicate with different stakeholders in particular to explain technical issues to nonexperts Experience in creating and administering MS SQL databases is an asset. Willingness to travel
Duty station: Nairobi, Kenya with frequent travels to Cotonou and Ibadan
General information: The contract will be for an initial period of three years. IITA offers internationally competitive remuneration package paid in U.S. Dollars.
