Sharks have a role to play….. Sharks have evolved in a 4ght inter-dependency with their ecosystem. They tend to eat very efficiently, going a=er the old, sick, or slower fish in a popula4on that they prey upon, keeping that popula4on healthier. Sharks groom many popula4ons of marine life to the right size so that those prey species don’t cause harm to the ecosystem by becoming too populous. Many are considered keystone species because of their importance in maintaining a balance in their food webs
