Note: These numbers were generated with the current latest version design of "The Quiet Canine" Dog Whistle, version 2.2.1, which adds a second pushbutton to reduce the oscillator's frequency. While testing these various tweeters, I noted variations in subjective loudness, and one or two that were apparently unable to handle the circuit's power at the high frequency. This resulted in a readily human-audible lower frequency being emitted, probably at half of the driving frequency. Examining the Pyramid TW-105's and the Goldwood GT-1005's revealed that these are NOT identical clone tweeters. Their plastic injection molding is subtly but distinctively different from each other. MY advise would be to purchase two sets of two of the "El Cheapo" tweeters, and test each one incircuit, using the brief "frequency drop" button to briefly assess the human audible loudness, then verify that the tweeter is nearly if not completely inaudible (no overdriving) in its high-frequency operating mode. Choose the tweeter that's loudest in low-frequency mode for permanent use.
