Social Entrepreneurship – The New Age of Business Contact making seminar 17 – 24 October 2016, Zadar (Croatia) The aim of the contact making seminar is to increase cooperation among partner organisations (youth NGO, NGOs involved in social entrepreneurship and public bodies) in order to develop new European cross-sectoral strategic partnership projects in the field of social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is a new concept across Europe and many organisations are interested to incorporate in their activities a social venture. But they face many challenges not knowing how this can be done, as there are many obstacles. In order to find solution to these problems, we need to create strong partnership between relevant actors across Europe. For this to happen, we need to give the opportunity to organisations, public bodies, companies to meet and learn from one another and create common projects for the development of social entrepreneurship in Europe as well as sharing ideas and concepts that will bring about innovation in this area. Our objectives are:
To strengthen the partnership between the project partners and to foster cooperation and innovation for future projects with a focus on social entrepreneurship.
To explore the topic of social entrepreneurship as an alternative for youth unemployment, active participation in the community and to develop inclusion.
To share between the partners (youth NGOs, NGOs involved in social entrepreneurship and public bodies) experiences and organisational knowledge related to social entrepreneurship as well as creating a platform for the sharing of best practice.
In order to achieve this we have decided to organise a contact making seminar that will bring together 30 participants (youth workers, youth leaders, project managers with the initiative to develop new projects together).
