From a theoretical point of view it is right to talk about the three stages of divorce: 1. marriage (family) mismatch - arises from the non-essential contradictions, which reflects the reduced ability of partners to find a suitable compromise. The marital mismatch gradually passes in matrimonial (family) disruption; 2. marriage (family) disruption - it is already seriously affected by one of their essential family functions (emotional, economic, educational); 3. distribution - is the formal legal termination of the marital relationship of two individuals, the last recourse in the process of marriage breakdown. (Matějček, Dytrych, 2002). In our opinion, it is very important to distinguish the stage of divorce because of better understanding of the divorce process in families.
