Kind attention of Railway Board is invited to the above cited referencesrelating to grant of Special Allowance to Nursesworking in OperationTheatre/IntensiveCareUnit in Railway Hospitals. NFIR also brings to the notice of Railway Board that the Ministry of Finance vide ResolutionNo. 11Il20I6-lC dated 06d' July 2017 has decided for retention of Operation Theatre Allowance and enhancingthe Pursuantto the said decision,the Nursing Allowance from Rs. 3601-to Rs. 540/- p.m. with effect from 0110712017. Staff in Railways who are working in Operation Theatres/IntqUllrleCare Units are entitled for payment of Allowance tr.e.f. Ot/Ogl2008as p"t-th" rates prescribed/revise{adffie rate of Rs. 5404 p.m. w.e.f. OtiOltZOtl. According to the Ministry of FinanceResolution dated 06"'July 2017 the Allowance allowed prior to 0110712017 was Rs. 360f p.m. NFIR also desiresto remind that pursuant to discussionin the PNM meeting (Item No. 1-8/2012), the Railway Ministry had recommendedto Ministry of Health and Family Welfare who in turn had sent proposalto Ministry of Finance (Departmentof Expenditure) for their concurrence.As the matter has since been settledFuVJuanL.
