MVP Corporate Discount for SLBC At the January 2016, SLBC Membership meeting, I offered the idea that SLBC members could get a substantial discount on MVP athletic club memberships if SLBC filed for MVP corporate status. Great benefit but huge hassle. The upside was a hefty discount for SLBC members, even those already MVP members. But the downside was Club volunteers would collect and deposit SLBC member checks and pay MVP on one invoice each month with the names of each paid member. So 200 SLBC corporate MPV members meant 2,400 payments to collect, deposit and track per year. Slightly less benefit but no hassle. Because the idea generated a lot of interest (but no volunteers), we worked creatively – and at some length – with MVP to get a still healthy corporate discount for SLBC members, even those already MVP members. MVP will handle all of the payments and tracking for $5 per household per month, paid up front for the remainder of the year. This $5 payment reduces the discount from 33% to 25%. Non Corporate MVP members - $100 enrollment fee; Single $59/mo + tax; Couple $102/mo + tax. Corporate members - No enrollment fee; Single $40/mo + tax; Couple $75/mo + tax; + $5/mo + tax administrative fee paid up front for the balance of the calendar year. Your annual savings from SLBC corporate membership - Single $268, Couple $424.

How to Get the SLBC/MVP Corporate Discount Contact the MVP at 352-674-7000 and ask to speak to the membership sales manager. You should expect the following process: 1. SLBC verification. MPV verifies that you are a SLBC Member 2. Administrative fee payment. You pay up front the $5/month administrative fee for the rest of the calendar year (e.g., if you start for March, it's $50, which is $5 for each of the 10 months left in the year). 3. Membership agreement and credit/debit card payment. You fill out the MVP membership agreement and put a credit card on file at MVP for your monthly dues (single $40 + tax; couple $75 + tax), which will be subtracted from your account automatically. You can suspend or cancel your membership at any time and it becomes effective on the 24th of the month for the next month. 4. Work out at MVP. Enjoy all the benefits that MVP offers.
