SPRING 2017
The Bookmark FRIENDS OF THE MEDWAY PUBLIC LIBRARY 26 High St., Medway, MA 02053
Why I Volunteer with the Friends We asked some of our volunteers why they like helping out the Friends of the Medway Public Library… I love books and I meet people who also love books. Good exercise, too! - Audrey Just paying it forward! - Richard I wanted to be a librarian while I was in college, but got sidetracked. Helping to sort and being around all of the books is the next best thing! - Harriet I think it is important to help the Medway community, but in addition, the volunteers have become my friends. - Meg I love books and libraries – and it’s a nice group of hard working people. - Karen Sorting through the donations is a great way to discover a variety of books that you might want to read. - Eileen We’re always looking for new volunteers to help with year-round sorting and assisting at our book sales, programs and events. You can help on a regular basis, for one event, or anything in between – it’s up to you. No matter how much time you can give, we know you’ll find it rewarding to be a Friends volunteer and you’ll meet some very nice people too!
