What is the Triathlon Challenge?
Upon completetion of each level of the Triathlon Challenge please bring this pamphlet to the media center. Please make sure you have the following: • Parent signature for Reading • Parent, Teacher or Advisor Signature for Service • Parent Signature for 1 MONTH FITNESS PROGRAM.
Any student can work to complete the Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels of the Springside Triathlon Challenge. Students who complete all three areas (Reading, Fitness, and Service) of a level will receive recognition at our monthly school-wide assembly and have their name added to our Triathlon Challenge Chart.
Reading Challenge
Our school is participating in America’s Battle of the Books for our reading program this year. The reading challenge portion of the triathlon will focus on reading from a list of 10 books.
Service Challenge
Good citizens look for opportunities to help others. Students must participate in a service project to complete each level of the challenge. Projects should benefit our school or the community.
Fitness Challenge
Students should establish a fitness routine for a 1 MONTH period. Students can choose activities from the fitness chart or count sports and or other activities they are involved in. Fitness routines should be NO LESS than 30 MINUTES - 3Xs PER WEEK.
