State Officer Candidate’s Statement of Promise Candidate’s Statement I understand serving as a NC DECA State Officer demands a twelve-month commitment on my part to the organization. Therefore, it is vital that I understand and accept this commitment as a candidate. I have read the policies and procedures governing state officers and I wish to be considered as a candidate in the State Officer Election Process at the NC Career Development Conference. If elected to serve as a NC DECA State Officer, I will adhere to all policies, procedures and guidelines for members and state officers of the organization, will represent the organization with integrity and exemplary behavior, will obey our State Officer Code of Ethics, will project a desirable image of NC DECA, and will accept financial responsibilities according to the organization’s policies. I further understand that if I fail to fulfill the full and complete term of my office I, my parents and/or my school can be held financially responsible for costs incurred on my behalf while serving as an officer. Also, I will attend all functions required of me as a state officer and will fulfill and complete all obligations and assignments which I receive from the NC DECA State Advisor as a NC DECA State Officer. I realize that if I do not honor my commitments, I will be removed from office.
