Stress et Anxiété Qu’est-ce que l’anxiété? L’anxiété est une réponse normale du corps à la vue ou à la sensation de danger. Elle se manifeste par un malaise, une impression de danger, un sentiment de peur ou de la détresse.
L’anxiété devient problématique quand…
Elle est excessive par rapport au danger et par rapport à la réaction;
Elle est intense et génère une détresse cliniquement significative;
Elle persiste dans le temps;
Elle est difficile à contrôler par la personne;
Il y a présence d’évitement;
Les symptômes interfèrent avec le fonctionnement quotidien.
Les symptômes
Émotionnels et cognitifs : Troubles du sommeil ou cauchemars
Physiques : Maux de ventre et maux de tête Se sentir faible Maux de cœur et vomissements Picotements au visage et aux mains Tics nerveux

En apprendre le plus possible sur sa peur. Être bien informé aidera à constater combien sa peur peut être irrationnelle.
S’exposer à sa peur. Débuter par s’exposer par petites doses (lire sur le sujet, regarder des images ou des vidéos sur le sujet), puis augmenter l’exposition tranquillement. Respecter ses limites et s’écouter. On verra qu’en franchissant des petits étapes à son rythme, ses craintes seront plus facile à dissiper.
Utiliser des techniques de relaxation. Utiliser des techniques de relaxation ou encore de méditation peu nous permettre de se calmer avant une exposition à une peur et nous permettre de retrouver son calme après l’avoir affrontée.
S’attendre à faire des rechutes et les accepter.
Se récompenser. Lorsque l’on franchit une étape contre sa peur, être fier de soi et célébrer cette victoire.
La thérapie cognitivo comportementale (TCC) : « La thérapie cognitivo-comportementale (TCC) est décrite comme étant une psychothérapie centrée sur la modification de pensées et de comportements problématiques. La TCC s’intéresse d’abord à la solution des problèmes actuels et en second lieu uniquement, à la compréhension de leur origine dans le passé. Une bonne relation thérapeutique est considérée comme étant essentielle à une psychothérapie d’approche cognitive-comportementale efficace.
