This week you will have a PTO Laundry Soap Fundraiser Form attached to this newsletter. Please have these returned by September 12th. This is one of the major fundraisers for this school year.



If you are picking your child up after school, you will need to meet them in the car line. NO STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO WALK THROUGH THE PARKING LOT WITHOUT AN ADULT.



Sixth grade takes band at the end of each school day. These students attend on a rotational basis. If you are unsure which day your child attends, please contact their homeroom teacher. If you need to pick them up at the end of the day you will need to pick them up at the high school if they are in band that day.



Your child’s teachers are posting the classroom newsletters to their individual Google Classroom pages. Students in grades 3-6 should be able to show you how to view their classroom newsletter. If you have troubles, contact your child’s teacher. Students in grades K-2 are working to learn how to access Google Classroom. Please be patient as the students get familiar with the system.



In your child’s classroom newsletter there are helpful places to go to assist in learning the topics taught this week. We use IXL Learning and Brainpop to assist our students. The students have individual accounts for IXL. To access BrainPop and BrainPop Jr videos you can use the username ‘jaccendel’ and password ‘brainpop’ so you can view the videos and games.



Each student is able to login to www.connected.mcgraw-hill.com There is also and app available for ConnectED. This is the platform that 3-6 grade students can access their math resources. Students in grade 1-6 can also access their Reading Materials from this site. Please take time to look at this resource to assist your child.



Next week we will be at midterm for the grading period. We pass out midterms at parent teacher conferences. Parent teacher conferences are often scheduled with a teacher. If you have not made a scheduled appointment you might want to reach out to your child’s teacher.

School Breakfast Modifications

A story in which people, things, and actions represent ideas and have a moral or lesson about life

We have been serving a large number of students for breakfast. In order to make this process run as smoothly as possible, here are some things you can do to help us serve the students more efficiently: - If your child is a morning car rider, please have them here no later than 7:55. - Discuss with your child if they would like to eat breakfast for that day. - If your child rides early bus 9 or dropped off before 7:45 they can eat at 7:30.

Example: The Three Little Pigs teaches us that time and effort pays off.
