Fairfield Central High School Summer Reading Assignment Summer 2017 Fairfield Central High School Parents and Students: The faculty and staff at Fairfield Central High School value your child’s education. Summer reading is a great opportunity for students to retain what they have learned throughout the previous year while preparing for the new school year. Below are the young adult novel choices for the summer of 2017. Assignment: Students entering grades 9-12 are required to use the Summer Reading Journal format provided by the school for the novel(s) of their choice. This assignment is due to the assigned English teacher on September 5, 2017. If the student does not have English until second semester, he or she is still required to turn in the assignment on September5, 2017 to his or her assigned English teacher or Mrs. Shannon Taylor. The Summer Reading Journal can be accessed online, or students may create a handwritten version. All information will also be posted on the school’s website and will be available at the public library and at Fairfield Central High School during the summer. This will be assessed as a test grade. Several copies will be available to borrow from the school and public libraries. Nearby book stores will order extra copies, as well.
