Summer School 2018 Open to Grades 3K-6th
As we are working toward the end of the school year, we are also looking forward to the twelfth year of our Fontana Summer School Program. This year’s program will take place from July 9-July 26. Sessions will be held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There is a break time during the session for snack and recess. The Summer School Staff is excited about offering this opportunity to your child. We feel that we have refined the program to best meet the needs of our students. The program is divided into two parts. The first half of each day, the program will focus on academic areas and increasing reading, writing, and math skills based on MAP and AIMS WEB data. Children will be placed per their grade level for academic classes. The second half of the program will branch out to encompass more interest areas from Disney to games, fitness, and sports. These classes will be multi-age groupings. As you review the summer school registration information, please read the student and parent expectations of the program carefully. The program requires a commitment on your behalf by providing transportation, reinforcing behavior guidelines and paying a minimal program fee to assist in the cost of instruction and materials. The majority of the costs of the program are paid through the Rural Education Grant program.
Moves and Grooves Mrs. Smith Come kick, jump, and turn. Dance Camp provides a fun and exciting way to learn the fundamentals of dance. The camp is designed to teach a variety of different dance styles including hip hop, jazz, ballet, poms. Routines will be taught each week while we learn proper technique.
