New messages
Email appear individually Each email reply appears as a separate message in your inbox. If a rule has been set up for the email, it automatically moves to the specified folder.
Email appear as threads or bundled Email appear in your inbox threaded together with other email on the same subject. You can also have email threads added to a bundle as they arrive. Bundles appear at the top of your inbox when an email comes in. Or, you can set the bundle to only appear in your inbox at specific times.
Organize
Folders Store and categorize email in folders.
Bundles and Filters Group similar email into a bundle. When you create a bundle, you can set a filter on the bundle. You can also set the bundle to be visible in your inbox, daily or weekly. Otherwise, the bundle appears at the top of your inbox whenever an email comes in, so you know that you have new email in the bundle.
Mark important email
Flags Mark important email with a flag.
Pin and low-priority bundles With more ways to streamline your inbox, there’s less need to make things stand out. But you can still indicate importance, so it’s clear what needs to get done now, and what can wait until later. Pin—Pin important items to your inbox. Turn on the Pin switch to see only your pinned items. Low Priority bundle—Less important email goes to the Low Priority bundle. You can move less important email to the bundle. Inbox learns your preferences and starts to automatically move email.
Remove email
Delete email Archive email (Cleanup tool)
Delete, mark done, sweep, and snooze Inbox gives you more ways to keep your inbox clutter-free, leaving only what you want to focus on. Delete email (move to Trash) Mark done—If you’re finished with an email, mark it done to move it out of your inbox and archive it. You can always find it later with search or in the menu under Done. Sweep—Quickly archive all unpinned email for a certain time period or bundle in one click. Snooze—Snooze an email to get it out of your inbox until you're ready for it later, such as a specific date or when you’ve arrived at a specific location.
Create tasks and reminders
Tasks Add independent tasks. Create tasks or to-do lists from email. Tasks with dates also appear in Outlook Calendar.
Reminders Reminders are just like to-dos—jot things down to remember later. The reminder shows up at the top of your inbox, and you can snooze it to appear again later.
