Toby Moore, PhD, PG, CHG Water Resources Manager/Chief Hydrogeologist Golden State Water Company 1920 West Corporate Way Anaheim, CA 92801 GOLDEN STATE WATER COMPANY- OJAI SYSTEM URBAN WATER SUPPLIER STATUS Dear Dr. Moore: The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has reviewed your August 5, 2015 letter petitioning the Board to remove Golden State Water Company's Ojai system (GSWC - Ojai) from the list of Urban Water Suppliers required to meet conservation standards in the State Water Board's emergency conservation regulation. The State Water Board has determined that GSWC - Ojai does not meet the definition of an Urban Water Supplier as defined in California Water Code Section 10617. Therefore, your request to have GSWC- Ojai removed from the list of Urban Water Suppliers and the assigned conservation standard of 36% is approved. As stated in your letter, GSWC - Ojai supplies water to approximately 2,896 service connections and produces approximately 2,000 acre-feet of water annually, which meets the definition of a distributor of a public water supply as defined in Section 865(a)(1) of the Emergency Regulation, This means that the GSWC- Ojai is subject to the requirements outlined in Section 865(f) of the Emergency Regulation.
