Distribute student test books, punch-out rulers, pencils and scratch paper to students, and tell each student their assigned ID in the class list (attached to the envelope) 3. Give students a moment to look through Parts 1, 2, and 3 of the mathematics test (pages 43-65 of the test book). Point out the various locations of the “STOP” signs within the test (on pages 44, 45, 56, 57 and 65). Tell students whenever they see one of these “STOP” signs, they should stop and wait quietly until they are told what to do next. 4. Remind students that they must mark ONLY in the spaces provided.

Hang the provided “Don’t Disturb” sign on the door if you like Arrange the classroom for testing and remove or cover classroom visual aids (charts, posters) containing mathematical concepts
Ask students to fill in the student-identifying information on their test books. The student-identifying page is on the back of the cover. Students should mark/fill in the fields listed below. Other areas can be left blank. i. Last name (letters printed and bubbles filled) ii. Teacher Name (printed) iii. Grade (bubble filled) iv. ID number assigned (bubble filled). 3. Resume the testing when you think your students are ready to go on.
Administering Part 3 of the math test (Pages 57-65)
