Detours With Matt presents: Cuba Pride 2017 TERMS AND CONDITIONS Reservations and payments: To reserve a spot on this program, sign up on our website. We'll invoice you for a deposit of $1000 per person. The cost of the trip depends on group size. For 4-6 guests, the double occupancy rate is $3,775; for 7-9 guests, $3550; and for 10-12 guests, $3300. Single occupancy rooms are available for an additional fee of $500. We will invoice you for the remainder by the end of February. Final payment is due no later than March 10, 2016 unless you determine an alternative payment arrangement with Detours With Matt.
Program cost includes: Travel to Cuba under the auspices of Detours with Matt, with a full-time program of activities in compliance with Cuban Assets Control Regulations section 515.565(b). Private B&B accommodations for eight (8) nights in Cuba. All meals in Cuba except one (1) dinners at leisure. Bottled water provided daily. Transportation for all included program activities. Airport transfers for recommended flights. Escorted in Cuba by bilingual Detours with Matt trip leader and local Cuban guide. All gratuities except housekeeping.
Program cost does not include: Airfare to and from Cuba. Other costs managed by the airline such as baggage fees, Cuban visa, and Cuban medical insurance. Activities outside the scheduled program, even if accompanied by trip leader. Personal costs such as laundry, email, fax or telephone calls, liquor, room service, independent and private transfers.
Cancellations and refunds: Detours with Matt reserves the right to cancel the program prior to departure for any reason, including insufficient number of participants. Should this happen, refunds will be made without obligation, although we cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants. A $1,000 per person deposit is required to reserve your space. Deposits and any payments are fully refundable, less a $300per-person cancellation fee, until 90 days prior to departure. After 90 days and before 30 days prior to departure, your trip may be cancelled for a 50% refund. Between 30 days and the program start, your trip may be cancelled for a 25% refund. No refunds shall be issued after the program has commenced. We strongly recommend that you subscribe to third-party baggage and trip-cancellation insurance.
Responsibility: Detours with Matt acts only as agent for the passenger with respect to transportation and other program arrangements. We can assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity in connection with the service of any airplane, automobile, motorcoach, or any other conveyance used in carrying out this program or for the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the program. We cannot accept any responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine, force majeure or other causes beyond our control. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the passenger as trip rates provide arrangements only for the program stated. Detours with Matt cannot accept liability for any carrier's cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a nonrefundable ticket in connection with the program. We reserve the right to make such alterations to the published itinerary as may be deemed necessary. We reserve the right to decline to accept or any person as a member of the program, or to remove any person from the program without refund and without liability for any related losses or expenses. Baggage is carried at the owner's risk entirely. Program price is based on rates in effect at the time the brochure is printed and is subject to change without notice to reflect fluctuations in exchange rates, tariffs or fuel charges. We may use photographs or videos of the program for promotional purposes, including photographs or videos containing images of program participants, unless a participant makes alternate arrangements with Detours with Matt in writing prior to the trip. As a condition of participation, all passengers are required to sign a Release of Liability.
Legal obligations: Program participants will travel under a license for Cuba travel based on participation in a full-time schedule of educational exchange activities that will result in meaningful interactions with Cuban nationals. To comply with this license, participants will participate in the scheduled program activities.
Program participant signifies acceptance of, and consents to, all of the terms and conditions set forth herein, on behalf of any participants they may act for and for themselves when registering for, or making payments on, this program.
