About the Texas Exes Austin Chapter

OUR MISSION The Texas Exes Austin Chapter core purpose is to be an independent voice that champions the University, and to organize alumni and friends in the Austin area to change the world. Our vision is to (1) advocate for UT, (2) engage alumni through fun and serious-minded content, and (3) develop student relationships via recruitment and raising scholarships for talented Austin area high school students to attend The University of Texas at Austin for years to come. The Texas Exes Austin Chapter is composed entirely of volunteers.

SCHOLARSHIPS Sponsoring the Texas Exes Austin Chapter creates scholarships for incoming UT-Austin students. We awarded $16,000 in scholarships in 2013, $18,500 in 2014, $17,500 in 2015, $22,250 in 2016 and $17,750 in 2017. We have given in total $128,500 in scholarships to Austin area high school graduates attending UT-Austin since 2009.

CHAPTER STATISTICS 30,000+ members: • Austin area, including Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Westlake, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Kyle, Buda, Taylor, and Manor • 50% are 2000s graduates • 8,500+ social media followers (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) • Socially active and community-minded high earners with discretionary income • Engaged volunteers

EMAIL STATISTICS (January – July 2017 averages) • 72,400 email recipients (includes opt-in members and alumni) • 18.6% open rate • 1.02% click-through rate • .06% opt out rate

SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS We welcome donations for silent auctions at both the Texas Independence Day Party and the Orange & White Kickoff Party.
