FOR THE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES THDC India Limited (formerly known as Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Ltd.), is a Joint Venture of Govt. of India and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. The Equity is shared in the ratio of 75:25 between GoI and GoUP for the Power Component. The Company was incorporated in July‟ 88 to develop, operate & maintain the 2400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex and other hydro projects. The Company has an authorized share capital of ` 4000 cr. THDCIL is a Mini Ratna Category-I and Schedule „A‟ CPSE. The initial mandate of THDCIL was to develop, operate and maintain the 2,400 MW Tehri Hydro Power Complex (comprising of 1000 MW Tehri Dam & HPP, 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant & 400 MW Koteshwar HEP) and other Hydro Projects. The Memorandum and Articles of Association of the Company has been modified to reflect the current business reality of projects outside Bhagirathi valley. The object clause has been amended to incorporate development of Conventional/ Non-conventional/ Renewable sources of Energy and River Valley Projects. The Corporation has grown into a multi-Project Organization, with Projects spread over various States as well as neighboring Country, Bhutan. THDCIL presently has 15 projects totaling to an installed capacity of 6211 MW under various stages of implementation / development. The commissioning of the 1,000 MW Tehri Power Station by THDCIL in 2006-07 was a landmark for the Country‟s Power Sector. The Tehri Project is a multipurpose Project providing power benefits to the Northern Region, Irrigation benefits to Uttar Pradesh, and Drinking Water benefits to NCT Delhi and U.P. Due to regulated releases from the Tehri storage reservoir, the existing downstream hydro projects of the State are also benefiting by way of augmentation in generation at no additional cost to them. The 400 MW Koteshwar HEP, downstream of Tehri was commissioned in 2011-12. The 1,000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant, which would utilize the Tehri and Koteshwar reservoirs as the pre-requisite upstream and downstream reservoirs, is presently under implementation. The 1,000 MW Tehri PSP is the first Pumped Storage Scheme to be taken up in the Central Sector, and is expected to set a model for the development of the untapped Pumped Storage potential in the Country, which stands at over 90,000 MW. In addition to the 2,400 MW Tehri Hydro Complex, THDCIL is implementing the 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) on river Alaknanda in Uttarakhand. THDCIL is also implementing 24 MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project on Betwa river in Uttar Pradesh. In addition, there are various hydro projects of THDCIL under different stages of implementation i.e. Survey & Investigation and DPR preparation.

Government of UP has allotted Khurja Super Thermal Power Plant (2X660 MW) in Bulandshahar Distt to THDCIL for implementation. Under India-Bhutan Co-operation in hydro Sector development, THDCIL is implementing Bunakha HEP (180 MW) and has taken up work of updation of DPR of Sankosh HEP (2585 MW) in Bhutan. Total installed capacity of THDCIL presently is 1,400 MW. THDCIL has two generating stations namely Tehri Stage-I (4x250 MW) and Koteshwar HEP (4x100 MW). THDCIL is consistently profit making company since the commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP in the year 2006-07. THDCIL is a dividend paying company since 2007-08. Tehri Dam has been conferred the Prestigious award of “International Milestone Project” of International Commission of Large Dam (ICOLD) in Oct.‟09 in China, considering the Uniqueness of its design and construction features. Koteshwar HEP has been conferred the PMI India Best Project Award of the year in long term duration (More than 3 years) category in 2011-12. THDCIL has been conferred the Power Line Award in the category of 'Best Performing Generation Company (in Hydro Sector)’ in May 2012. THDCIL has been conferred SCOPE Meritorious Award for Corporate Social Responsibility and Responsiveness in April‟12. THDCIL has obtained ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of Quality Management System and ISO 14001-2004 Certification (Environment Management System) for Corporate Office, Rishikesh, Tehri HPP, Tehri PSP, Koteshwar HEP and Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP. THDCIL has also obtained OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) Certification for Corporate Office, Rishikesh. Since first year of commercial operation, THDCIL is a profit making organization. THDCIL earned a Net Profit of Rs.117.48 Cr., Rs. 323.58 Cr., Rs. 325.21 Cr., Rs..479.95 Cr., Rs.. 600.48 Cr. , Rs. 703.83 Cr., Rs. 531.38 Cr and Rs.595.32 Cr. during 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14 respectively. (6) SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1. Only such candidates who have suffered not less than 40% of relevant disability, are eligible to be considered as per The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act.,1995 2. Persons with Disabilities are required to furnish Medical Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as per directives of Government of India as a proof of their disability. 3. Visually Handicapped candidates will be permitted to engage Scribe in accordance with the norms prescribed in this regard and they have to make their own arrangement for the same. 4. Candidates who opt for engaging their own Scribe should indicate the same while submitting their application. (7) HEALTH: The candidate should have sound health. Before joining, candidates will have to undergo medical examination by CMO, THDCIL dispensary or CMO of any Govt. Hospital or any referred hospital in accordance with specified medical standards. (8) RESERVATION AND RELAXATION: a) Reservation and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer & ExServiceman candidates will be as per Government of India guidelines b) Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) once filled in the application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on. The reserved category candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in the prescribed format of Government of India, issued by the competent authority as per the directives of Government of India. c) The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates. d) The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to Doob Kshetra. Upper age is relaxed by 5 years for the candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.80

to 31.12.89. Candidate shall have to submit certificate in this regard with the application. The upper age limit is relaxed for Ex-Service men will be as per Government of India guidelines. e) The OBC candidates who belong to “Creamy Layer” are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The OBC (Non- Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submit requisite certificate in prescribed format of Government of India, from a competent authority issued in the current year .The Certificate should not be more than 06 months old. Candidates claiming reservation under OBC (NCL) should belong to OBC- Non creamy layer as on last date of submission of application to THDCIL . f) For SC/ST, candidate‟s total experience relaxed by 1 year whenever length of experience required is up to 3-5 years. g) The application formats of Caste/Community /Disability Certificate format is available on our website www.thdc.gov.in

COMPENSATION PACKAGE: (i)

For the Post of Executive/Engineer Trainee: During training period the Executive/Engineer Trainee Basic Pay will be fixed at Rs.20,600/-per month in the scale of Pay of Rs. 20,600-3%-46500 (Provisional) (E-2).Besides this Executive /Engineer Trainee will be entitled to Dearness Allowance, Group Insurance, Leave and free medical for self as per Company‟s Rules in force from time to time. On successful completion of one year training period ETs will be absorbed in the pay Scale of Rs. 24900-3%-50,500 (Provisional) (E-3) in the company‟s regular executive cadre. In addition to basic pay and DA the company offers one of the best compensation packages. The Compensation package shall include Allowance @ 47% of Basic Pay under “cafeteria approach”. House Rent Allowance/Lease , as the case may be, benefits in terms of Project Allowance, Hill/remote locality allowance (wherever applicable), Special Duty Allowance, (whichever applicable) Medical facilities various insurance coverage, Performance Related Pay, Leave encashment, CPF, Gratuity, Pension and various low-interest short/long term advances like House Building Advance, Conveyance Advance, Furniture, Multipurpose etc., as admissible to its regular employees will be extended, as per eligibility criteria prescribed under the extant Rules of the Corporation.

For the Post of Personal Secretary/Hindi Translator: The company offers one of the best compensation package. In addition to basic pay and DA .The Compensation package shall include Allowance @ 47% of Basic Pay under “cafeteria approach”. House Rent Allowance (as the case may be,) benefits in terms of Project Allowance, Hill/remote locality

allowance (wherever applicable), Special Duty Allowance, (whichever applicable) Medical facilities various insurance coverage, Performance Related Pay, Leave encashment, CPF, Gratuity, Pension and various lowinterest short/long term advances like House Building Advance, Conveyance Advance, Furniture, Multipurpose etc., as admissible to its regular employees will be extended, as per eligibility criteria prescribed under the extant Rules of the Corporation. (11)

SERVICE AGREEMENT BOND: The selected candidates for the post of Executive Trainee (Personnel)/Engineer Trainee (IT) will be required to execute a Service Agreement Bond of Rs 1,25,000/- (Rupees One lakh twenty five thousand only) to successfully complete the prescribed training and thereafter serve the company for at least 03 years.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

a. The qualifications should have been acquired from the Indian Universities / Institutes, recognized by the UGC/AICTE or appropriate statutory/ regulatory bodies, wherever applicable; b. Reservation of Post(s) as per Govt. of India Guidelines c. Only Indian Nationals should apply. d. The Management reserves the right to increase/decrease no. of posts or consider for higher/lower post or not to fill up any of the posts or raise the minimum eligibility standards/or relax age/experience criteria in otherwise suitable cases and cancel candidature of any candidate without assigning any reason. Merely meeting the above qualifications and experience shall not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview. Management also reserves the right to cancel the entire recruitment process for the above posts/Advertisement at any point of time without assigning any reason. e. The candidate should have acquired he qualifying education qualification on or before 30.11.2015 be eligible for applying. f.

No representation will be entertained for relaxation of prescribed qualification in any circumstances.

g. While applying for any post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned above, as on the specified dates and that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/ or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated without any notice. f. The mere fact that a candidate has submitted the application against the advertisement and apparently fulfilling the criteria as prescribed in the

advertisement would not bestow on him/her the right to be definitely called for interview/considered further for selection process. g. Candidates from PSE/Govt./Semi Govt. should forward the Application Form through Proper Channel or should produce NOC at the time of Interview. h. A copy of SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/physically challenged certificate from a competent authority shall necessarily be submitted by the candidates to belong to any particular category. If the SC /ST / OBC and Disability Certificate are in a language other than English / Hindi, the candidates are required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in either English or Hindi. i.

The definition of Locomotor Disabilities, Hearing Impairment and Blindness/ Low Vision for Physically Challenged Candidates is as per “The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Right and Full Participation) Act, 1995”. The Physically Challenged candidates are required to furnish duly Stamped Medical Certificate in relation to their disability from Govt. Hospital or Medical Board.

In case of candidates belonging to Doob Kshetra the certificate shall be valid only if the same is issued by Special Land Acquisition Officer (SLAO). The certificate duly verified by District Magistrate.

k. Period of training will not be considered as experience required for the post. Experience in field of research or on ad-hoc or temporary basis will also not be considered for reckoning of experience. l.

Candidates called for interview for the post of Executive/Engineer Trainee (Personnel/IT) shall be reimbursed IIIrd AC and candidates called for interview for the post of Personal Secretary/Hindi Translator shall be reimbursed Sleeper Class Train to and fro rail fare as the case may be by shortest route from their starting station or mailing address, within India, which is nearest to the Place of Interview, on production of proof of journey subject to production of proof and NOC in case working in PSE / Govt. / Quasi Govt. Organizations. m. The candidates will be called for selection based on Self-certified information, along with copies of testimonials furnished by them. They should produce the original documents in support of their meeting eligibility conditions at the time of Interview, failing which such candidates will not be permitted to appear for the interview and Travelling Allowance will not be reimbursed to them n. Canvassing or otherwise influencing the selection process will render the candidature invalid. o. Incomplete applications and late applications are liable to be summarily rejected without any intimation/correspondence to this effect and will not be returned p. ATTACHMENTS (With Application Form) Self-attested copies of following documents / certificates in proper and valid formats are to be enclosed: 1. Proof for Date of Birth (Birth Certificate //Matriculation Mark Sheet). 2. Certificate in proof of possessing notified qualification(PG Degree/ /Diploma Certificates, XIIth/Xth Mark Sheets etc.

Experience Certificates from the present / previous employer(s), clearly indicating the area/period of experience (wherever applicable); 6. Proof for having required length of experience in immediate lower scale of pay (if working in Govt. / PSE); 7. Latest Pay slip (if applicable); 8. Community Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority (in case of belonging to OBC-NCL / SC / ST categories); 9. Disability Certificate, clearly indicating the type of disability; 10. Doob Kshetra Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority (in case of belonging to Doob Kshetra); 11. Discharge Certificate (in case of Ex-serviceman);

12. No objection Certificate (NOC), in case working in Govt. / PSU / Quasi Govt. companies; 13. Self certified translated copy of the OBC/SC/ST/Disability certificate either in English or Hindi, In case it is other than English/Hindi. However, the above list is not exhaustive and the candidates may require producing other relevant documents on case to case basis to clearly establish their eligibility. Non production of sufficient documents to establish the eligibility would lead to rejection of candidature. NOTE : 1. Please do not send any original certificates along with the Application Form.
