Poorly written, sloppily edited and overpricedBy ThisisfunThe book is very poorly edited and omits important information. Throughout the first half of the book the author keeps referring to the 'blue liquid'and the 'red liquid' which the reader is meant to use for most of the cleaning. Never does it explain in the book what these particular liquids are, let alone give a recipe for them. The red liquid, I figure, is to be a general
purpose cleaner, so I guess you can find a recipe for that in the book, the blue liquid is for cleaning glass, but there is no recipe or reference where to get this from.All in all, this book provides a few pages of information as to why commercial cleaning products are bad for you (this part is relevant but not very in depth) with natural cleaning recipes provided at the back.To be fair, there seems to be a recipe for almost every problem (glass cleaner excepted). So, if you want a collection of basic, non-toxic cleaning detergent recipes and don't feel like spending time looking for them online, this book has some value. On the other hand, if you want to safe yourself $25, mix some water and white vinegar (2:1 ratio) with a dash of castile soap and a few drops of tea tree and peppermint essential oils, fill in an empty spray bottle recycled from your commercial cleaning product, and you're set for most cleaning tasks. This book provides a wealth of information as well as practical solutions for the everyday problem of keeping our homes healthy. It is packed full of commonsense information on environmentally, and fertility-friendly cleaning, including where to buy the affordable, natural ingredients and step-by-step instructions on how to make your own products. Gabriela's comprehensive, yet easy to understand, advice is presented in her positive, motivational style and includes great information on how to save time and effort whilst optimising your health and fertility. This wonderful reference book is a must-have for every 21st century bookshelf-whether you are planning on conceiving or not.
