Group 1 sites of immigrants from the south were distributed in hills and plains from16th - 17th centuries. Hill sites perhaps refugia, or cattle posts?



Group 2 sites represent immigrants from the west who settled in the plains in the 18th - 19th centuries.



Group 3 sites represent the 18th - 19th century descendants of Group 1, somewhat altered through contact with Group 2.
