

Malone wants to impress his girl, Hungerton. Malone went to interview Professor Challenger. Challenger reveals his discovery of dinosaurs in South America. Malone and Challenger together with Prof. Summerlee and Lord John Roxton went to a trip to South America. The group get stuck in a plateau. They were attacked by Pterosaurs and other dinosaurs. Challenger, Summerlee, and Roxton are captured by a race of ape-men.

They find out there is also a tribe of humans (calling themselves Accala) inhabiting the other side of the plateau with whom the apemen (called Doda by the Accala) are constantly at war. The Accalas won over the Doda. The group returned to England after escaping. Malone returns to his love, Gladys, only to find out that she married a clerk while he was away.
