Consumers should ensure that a rough inspection is completed, or, if factory built, that there is a tag designating that the permitting process has been completed.

A permit must be pulled before final inspection before service and connection to electrical and plumbing utilities.

A homeowner’s permit can’t be pulled to build then “flip” or sell a tiny home. Electrical and plumbing contractors must be hired for electrical/plumbing installation. If in the future, that home is flipped and an attempt is made to connect to the electrical grid and/or potable water supply, those hookups would be disallowed if it’s discovered the permit was pulled under false pretenses.
